Alabama Senate Primary tonight. Polls close 8PM. Brooks, Strange, Moore (LIVE THREAD)
Decision Desk HQ ^ | August 15, 2017

Posted on 08/15/2017 4:01:37 PM PDT by SMGFan

Race Preview After weeks of ads, mostly on behalf of incumbent Senator Luther Strange, the votes start rolling in tonight after 8pm EDT. Strange faces strong competition from former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, who has led him in the polling average by about 5-6 points, and from Huntsville Congressman Mo Brooks, who has trailed Strange in the average by a little over the same margin. If polling is correct, Strange and Moore will advance to the September 26th runoff. We anticipate the first results will roll in within thirty minutes of polls closing. We’ll have comparison charts and a county-by-county display above as those numbers roll in.

My polling station in Decatur was a graveyard today, I was in and out in less than five minutes. Voted for Judge Roy Moore because of his strong Christion beliefs.

Never heard of them, but these guys are now projecting a near tie Moore/Strange.

Will check them later.

Of course I hope instead that Roy polls way out ahead.

They’ve tried calling me many times, but I never answer. When the machine picks up, they hang up before being asked to leave a message. I traced their number.

I’m really tired of people calling me about the election. Not one call has EVER changed my vote, and I do not like to talk to pollsters as so many are really push polling.

Like Desk but sometimes they're slow.

Strange currently in third... wish that could hold.

With 3% AP is showing Strange in third! That is the best outcome, the Mitch Bitch thrown into a ditch! Not even a run off for the Swamp critter!

Is northern AL in? Mo said on Hannity that’s his strong districts.

Maybe if Strange loses then the press won’t be able to resist portraying it as a defeat of Trump. It might pull them from their other rumormongering and propaganda so it’s all good.

Thanks, sounds legit then. I see they’re now predicting Moore 39%, Strange 35%, Mo 26%.

Polls are only taken of people who like to answer calls from strangers.

Not enough people up there were he is from. He will not be in the runoff. He burnt his bridge during the presidential primary.
