She is feeding negative stereotypes of tokens when she admits she took the 3rd string for the high level positions.
Usually this happens in businesses without shareholders (municipalities, non-profits, etc.); very stupid to admit that she’s shortchanging investors with social engineering.
Looks like she has three boxes checked. Ain’t Affirmative Action wonderful.
Somebody going into a $215K job can afford to get a tailor to get her jacket to fit before her publicity photo.
Either she has a small head on a normal body, or a normal head on a land-whale body. The latter seems more likely.

I’m sorry Chief but extra large body armor is all that’s left.
Someone on FR has to know someone, thru however many degrees of separation, that is/was on the Oakland PD. If you want answers, you have to ask those people. Far too many “admin” types are getting these leadership positions, because they got their Master’s and got a chance to go to the FBI National Academy, while not knowing their a$$ from a hole in the wall. And then, when something goes sideways, they prove to be the most inept person in the place. The examples are many.
