Always great to know when the potential murderers, rapists, kidnappers, burglars don’t get a chance to hurt people.

This is really a very safe neighborhood...
...because the residents are armed!

What’s all the emphasis on age in these reports? Did the “victim” win in the end? That’s what matters. Or is it a qualifier in determining the equalizer.

Don’t mess with Texas. Note it was an armed intruder.

The other suspect got away by jumping a fence. It's not clear if he was wounded. Deputies are searching the neighborhood for him. The victim said he appeared to be around 20 years old, was wearing dark clothing and his red underwear was showing. Could this possibly be some sort of clue?

Investigators are trying to determine if this was a crime of opportunity, or if the two men targeted this house specifically.
Other neighbors tell us she did the right thing.
“It’s just, you know what, in the state of Texas, if you’re gonna get on somebody’s property, you’re gonna get shot,” neighbor Catherine Hanks said. “That’s just the way we are, that’s Texas.”

A “really very safe neighborhood.” where all the housewives are armed and capable. Wonder why? Doesn’t sound too safe to me.
