Well, some here said on my thread on the Denver Public Library that the CO legalization of marijuana had nothing to do with the homeless and criminal problems in the library, but some in the video seem to claim that it does. They say the homeless population has surged since the law went into effect.

Legal dope. What could possibly go wrong? What types of people might possibly be attracted to that? It’s a mystery. Almost as deep a mystery as the motive of those screaming Allah Snackbar while they slash some infidel’s throat.

Look at Zurich and the history of “Needle Park”. The SJW blame high rents and snooty rich folks.

Dope smoking useless folks. Natural outcomes

And this report is right on que with the start of a new Republican administration.

The homeless,... always the poor victims of mean old Republican presidents.

Part of this story is that rising rent costs make it impossible on a minimum wage salary to afford a home. But I would have to say this...having been around Colorado a good bit...if I were homeless, this would not be a location that I select from because of the winter elements.

I’m hoping the surge will move west where California beaches, nice weather, liberal social programs and legal weed are all now available. I’m willing to help pay for one way tickets.

Denver real estate prices & demand have gone through the roof for a variety of reasons. I don’t know, but I assume wherever that happens there is some detectable increase in homelessness.

It’s even worse. Dozens of remote and resort towns which have never seen a homeless person are now inundated with them. They badger the locals and panhandle to get dope money.

That was my first thought.

It is always my first thought.

It’s amazing how the homeless become invisible during democrat administrations and suddenly become a major problem during republican administrations.

The homeless population always surges when there is a Republican President.

My neighbor put up bird and squirrel feeders then bitches about bird poo all over his patio and squirrels pulling the stuffing out of his lawn chair cushions...

Legal dope has damaged Colorado, and these “people” vote...

Just can’t fix stupid...

Legal pot is not CAUSING homelessness. That’s ridiculous. It’s ATTRACTING homeless people. Homeless folks with a drug predilection are heading to Colorado, just like they have been attracted to California, Oregon, and Washington.

Marijuana. Plain and simple. I live here. There are literally homeless getting on greyhound busses and saying “why not be homeless in colorado?” where they can panhandle and buy dope. The change has been dramatic since recreational was legalized. For a period of time the Springs Rescue Mission was advertising their available showers and beds in Portland’s backpage.com to increase occupancy and get more funding. It is a plague.

Ohio decriminalized possession of marijuana below 100 grams decades ago & it didn't cause this problem.

It starts out like this, so innocuous, but in time it will be said that Trump has done nothing for them. “It’s his fault.”

Reagan got it for the homeless, and they tossed in AIDS cases as his fault too. Never-mind the folks having multiple “partners” over a busy weekend bathhouse romp.

“They say the homeless population has surged since the law went into effect. “

The Denver Public Library is a mental institution but of course the drug warriors only see one thing and will grasp at any straw to justify draconian police state enforcement of the drug laws.

They say the homeless population has surged since the law went into effect.

That's just plain nonsense, they moved there for the winter skiing and summer mountain biking......
