This is a free country and people should be allowed to grow pot for personal use. (It’s a friggin’ plant, for crying out loud!)
Then lock people up if they expose children to it.
This will cut the cartels off at the knees. Of course, then it also cuts off all the government graft.
I went to a wedding there about ten years ago. I hadn't been to California in many, many years. The wedding was in Camarillo--so a pretty decent area. Our hotel was up the road in Oxnard. I felt like I was in Mexico.
But certainly, that was the first thing I noticed--the infrastructure was completely decrepit and in disrepair.
This last time though I got a feel for the drug infestation (people shooting up in a bathroom in Marin County), the massive, massive over crowding (we are getting nearly as bad here in Arizona), the Mexicanization--I couldn't wait to get out of the state.
It was just a massive sprawl of traffic from north of San Fran straight clear to the desert. And this was a Friday night and Saturday morning. I am not going to be able to handle 3rd world living. I am thinking, maybe, Iceland. Lol, just kidding, sort of.
The source of Colorado’s problem is the liberals from California who have been invading the state for the last 4 decades and procreating their liberal policies in what was once a fairly conservative, western state peopled by rugged individualists.
Nowadays you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a group of millenials with man-buns drinking $6 coffee or a couple of lesbians in a Suburu stickered with “FEEL THE BERN” or “I’M WITH HER” and the obligatory “COEXIST” tripe.
Legal pot.
Got to Manitou Springs where it’s legal .
You will a bunch of stoners sitting around begging for money.
“Homeless folks with a drug predilection are heading to Colorado, just like they have been attracted to California, Oregon, and Washington.”
It’s true that here in eastern WA State we seem to have more panhandler types. Many of them were evicted from Seattle’s tent city under the freeway and headed to our drier climate. But these are NOT the people going to legal pot stores. Pot store customers look nothing like them.
Here in CA it won’t be long that with heavy drug use, it could then be said that ILLEGALS are only doing the work that others won’t do.
