The FBI launched a criminal probe against former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn two years after the retired Army general roiled the bureau’s leadership by intervening on behalf of a decorated counterterrorism agent who accused now-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe and other top officials of sexual discrimination, according to documents and interviews.
Flynn’s intervention on behalf of Supervisory Special Agent Robyn Gritz was highly unusual, and included a letter in 2014 on his official Pentagon stationary, a public interview in 2015 supporting Gritz’s case and an offer to testify on her behalf. His offer put him as a hostile witness in a case against McCabe, who was soaring through the bureau’s leadership ranks.

It has been my contention from the very beginning that the IC wanted to destroy Flynn. He was considered a maverick who did not adhere to the Establishment line. The IC had to figure out a way to get rid of him. Brennan and Clapper were behind it along with Rhodes and Obama.
I hate to say this, but the FBI cannot be trusted and should be purged (Google Stalin and generals for an example).

I’ll be the discovery probe of Mr. McCabe will be an electric moment. McCabe looks like a hothead.
Maybe he will drive his new red car to the depo.
Same thing that happened to the IRS. DOJ needs to prosecute Learner and Koskinen, pronto.

The vast majority of our federal agencies do not have "constitutional duties" because there is no constitutional basis for their existence in the first place.
Cant argue with you there. Wasn’t the FBI federalized on kidnapping over state lines, so the interstate clause was stretched to include a federal police force?
The FBI/CIA has a pretty large axe to grind with Flynn. Besides the information in this article, while he was DIA director he forwarded and endorsed an intelligence memo that predicted the huge failure that supporting Syrian rebels would become.
Nailed the CIA to the wall. Both of them had the knives out for Flynn.
He said something along the lines of it being unwise to cross them.
He also wrote a book on Iran that freaked them out- the Dems went after him within days of him making the comment about putting Iran on notice.
There’s a lot of folks invested in the idea of cozying up to Iran even under the existing regime.

McCabe learned quickly, how to navigate thru the bureaucracy, do favors for the people that mattered and otherwise ingratiated himself to the people that make decisions or are able to call the people that make decisions. His record is probably spotless, as he was probably never in any position, at least long enough, to do any harm. There’s a saying in civil service....You can’t get in trouble for doing nothing. I’d love to talk to some of his former co-workers. Those are the folks that know what really happens. Seems to me that he got hired and realized very quickly that he was much better suited at being a political animal inside the FBI, rather than be a crime fighter. He’s just another one of those, Admin types, that climb the ladder, always seeking more and more power, while looking down their noses at the knuckle draggers.
I guess, it doesn’t hurt that your wife is a Dem operative with ties to McAuliffe and the Clintons, who I’m sure saw a friend on the inside of the agency. People want to talk about Comey leaking. Lord only knows that McCabe was telling the Clintons, via his wife.
