Impy, I agree. Will the budget problem help Republicans or Democrats, in the 2018 elections? I think that, since many people are mad at incumbents, of both parties, Gov. Rauner and several Democrat legislators will lose.
“Southern Illinois is filled with decent people”
How do you think people in Chicago would define Southern Illinois?
BFE.
How about a crowdfunded program called “Exodus” to aid in relocating trapped conservative Illini to where they are needed?
Bullchit!
I'm a retired Illinois teacher and EVERY dam check I drew while I was working took my contribution to my retirement fund-just the way it was laid out by law.
The problem comes from the state not doing the same.
The money was there but the crooked democrat politicians in Illinois couldn't bring themselves to live by their own law.
They took the money and used it to go out and bribe voters.
And that is a practice that is not limited to Illinois. Ted Kennedy started the ball rollin' with his IOU's in the "Social Security lockbox".
California, Connecticut, New York on and on are all headed the same direction. Illinois is just out front on this because we've had complete democrat party control for so long.
AAYC
LOL. Not in Chicago.
You got me on that one, lol. Translation, please.
The state, like many “Liberal” states should be divided into two states. In Illinois, one state would be Chicago, and one would be the rest of the state. The Liberals would be left with the government plantation society they created in Chicago, and the industry would move to the rest of state.
Sounds like a success story to me. People who want to produce will leave, those who want to leech move there.
The other problem with Illinois is that both parties are corrupted. Many times the choice is do you vote for my crook or your crook. There aren’t many good local politicians in either Chicago or Southern Illinois.
In 2012, Illinois’ prison population was 57 percent black, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections’ Fiscal Year 2012 Annual Report. Conversely, black Illinoisans made up only 13 percent of the state’s workforce, according to data from the Illinois Department of Employment Security.
Better, carve a new state from the south border of Chicago to Milwaukee, and no further west than I-355. Illinois and Wisconsin both become red states, and the loonies can have their own little paradise to play in. Rockford could become the airport of choice; that would help economic development there as well.
“Madigan has not proposed any budget plans for over a year.
He is to Illinois what William Bulger was to Massachusetts.”
Oh, I like it! That will leave a mark.
bitter clingers
LOL
The Gov won’t even say Trumps name, the best he will do is call him “President”, so childish!
Chicago feral democrats be lovin’ they reps.
