RUSH: I read my little tech blogs, and those guys, these young Millennials, the New York Times may as well be the Holy Bible. I can’t tell you how frustrating it is, the things that they believe, particularly about Trump, but also climate change.
I had a story — let me see if I can find it here. I didn’t get to it because it really had nothing to do with anything. It was about how another trip to the Arctic to discover global warming had to be postponed because of too much ice. I’ll dig it out here. When I read those stories I know the New York Times isn’t gonna publish that, so these sycophants that read it are never gonna see it.

More ice. He had to be among the ice, he said, to see how much of it there was. Satellite data wasn’t good enough. They had to cancel a study because of unprecedented ice brought to you by climate change.
Professor Ivar Giaever, the 1973 Nobel Prizewinner for Physics trashes the global warming/climate change/extreme weather pseudoscientific clap-trap and tells Obama he is "Dead Wrong". This was the 2012 meeting of Nobel Laureates.

I just had a discussion here on Free Republic with someone who believes that the arctic is melting and it is going to release massive amounts of methane and we will have runaway global warming because of it. They posted a Google Search with all sorts of stories which “confirmed” their fears.
I mentioned that in the 1930s which unadjusted records from ground based weather recording show was warmer than it is currently... that the arctic ocean became navigable in the summer. It was thought that the “Northern Passage” would soon be the most economical route to get goods from the far east to Europe and the East Coast of the United States.
Somehow it didn’t cause runaway global warming then. And in fact during WWII a flight of airplanes were forced down in Greenland. 50 years later they were found again under hundreds of feet of ice and some were recovered. The ice in Greenland and the Antarctic are both near record levels. The only thing remarkable about today’s climate is that the left have been able to stir up so much misinformation over it.

For American leftists, the NYT is read for guidance and direction. Like a combination of scripture and clergical message.
‘Scientists’ who use politics to prop up and fund their research make me almost physically ill. Seriously.
My suggestion would be to have a televised conference during which global warming advocate scientists and those who disagree with them debate the data. If the science is so settled, this is a perfect opportunity for proponents of anthropomorphic global warming to make their points publicly. On the other hand, if they can’t publicly support their interpretation of their own data then that deserves to be showcased publicly as well.

Less ice means global warming. More ice means even worse global warming. But the worst of all possible scenarios is if there is the same amount of ice. That means that global warming will kill everything on Earth in 5 minutes.

I’m definitely not a global warming guy but what I have read is the ice flow free in the ocean is what’s wrong. Not ice sheet size.
