The tide is quickly turning against the new ObamaCare repeal legislation. At least 21 Republicans have said they would vote no on the revised GOP healthcare bill negotiated by centrist Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-N.J.) and conservative Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.).
Those "no" votes include Reps. Patrick Meehan (Pa.), Ryan Costello (Pa.), Barbara Comstock (R-Va.), Jaime Herrera Beutler (Wash.) and John Katko (N.Y.), all centrists who had reservations about the previous ObamaCare repeal bill that was pulled from a floor vote last month because of a lack of GOP support.

Repeal Obamacare immediately, go back to the way things used to be.
Then there is plenty of time to come up with something else.
they are not repealing it the way THEY PROMISED....all during obamas time they put bill after bill up TO FULLY REPEAL, and now that they are in power...wtf are they doing with these obamaryancare lite????
Repeal Obamacare immediately,
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That is not in this bill.
There is a bill by Mo Brooks bottled up in committee to do that, but that stands less of a chance than this rearranging of Obamacare.
Note it is the liberal Republicans who do not want even a rearranging of Obamacare.
Trump needs to go on the warpath against these RINOS, and all the Dems who want to thwart the will of he people.
It’s not that they can’t kill Obamacare, they won’t kill Obamacare.
This is a Bill by Mel Brooks...
Well this is pathetic. So now a marginally improved bill is dying because the precious “moderates” are against it? It’s hopeless folks. If nothing else it shows how worthless Ryan is. The moderates are his people and he can’t get them on board? It’s hopeless folks. They’re going to lose the house count on it.
As an astute Freeper pointed out in the last couple of days ...
When the U.S. government orders its citizens to purchase something that: (1) few companies even want to sell, and (2) few people can afford to buy -- then there's no reason to even maintain the silly fiction that it makes any sense at all.
“The Producers”
LOL!
The Republican Party will not repeal obamacare. Not now, not ever. They will have one excuse after the other.
Cannot be done. Senate rules require 60 or more votes. Never get the communists Democrats to go for it. Some of the bill can be reversed with the simple majority, 51 votes and that would be all that can be done. Not much but better than nothing. Hopefully we might be able in 2018 get some Republicans to outvote Democrat that are up for reelection.
The Republican party is almost as Left wing was the Democrats.
I guess they'd rather get crushed by angry voters in 2018 than actually start working for the American people.
The GOP in Congress deserves whatever happens to it at this point, because if the House Freedom Caucus is on board, then there's no problem with the "right".
That must mean that there is some measure of positive benefit to the legislation, and so now the "centrist" Republicans (aka the "progressive" GOPe) will balk because the bill has apparently become "too right wing".
We're screwed. This is an absolute fiasco. Maybe the Democrats deserve to take over the House, because the House GOP can't seem to unify in any meaningful way.
The nation voted the Republicans in and gave them unified government on a silver platter, and what does the nation get in return? A Congress that is going to betray both its President and the People.
I've never seen a bigger bunch of gutless cowards. The Congressional GOP doesn't even deserve the power they do have.
I'm absolutely through with the Republican party and Congress if they don't get off their Socialist asses and start trying to make America great again...
The Republicans will never change. Let’s find a group of moderates to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. They will suffer the biggest loss ever in the midterms. Republicans fear the Scepter, Democrats are driven mad by the mere wafted scent of it on the evening breeze.
We need to keep a list of the Rinos to target in 2018 and we need to get started identifying one viable replacement in each of their states to support, and begin now. We may have a viable Republican to replace Manchin in the Senate in Patrick Morrisey our Attorney General (hate to lose him as AG, but we need him in the Senate. He’s a jewel. Our Congressmen are okay for now.
“Were watching the GOPE plan to.kill everything Trump ran on. All these asshat progressive cheap labor express members need to go.”
You can bet that this same group is against “the wall”.
Obamacare is going to follow the same route as the stupid 2007 law that requires all shipping containers transported to the U.S. to be inspected at their port of origin. Under that law, the deadline for meeting the "100% inspection" mandate was 2012. Before the law was passed, roughly 2% of the containers shipped to the U.S. were scanned and inspected. It's now 2017 -- five years after the mandate was supposed to be in place -- and I've seen estimates that no more than 5% of these containers are actually screened and inspected under the 2007 requirements.
This is what happens when a bunch of @ssholes in Washington pass a stupid law that is completely unworkable. ObamaCare will meet a similar fate, for sure.
The problem with repealing it outright is that there are so many fragments of the gawd awful thing that have embedded themselves into every aspect of our lives. And one piece holds up another piece that holds up some legitimate part
of health care.
Whether a straight repeal is doable, I don’t know.
Letting it die on it’s own could work out if the administration is ready to implement a work-around that doesn’t result in chaos.
