Lost a neighbor to this just 2 weeks ago.
I am sorry about your neighbor.
I read about intravenous vitamin C in YUGE doses drastically beating back cancer.
I thought it sounded crazy but upon further research some quite reputable resources confirmed that at least to some extent, and sometimes more than just some, huge doses of IV vitamin C can really help.
I am glad you are sharing this in your time of grief.
It reminded me of what C can do and will let others know.
(because the body can only absorb 500 milligrams when taken orally)
Not sure about this if true I waste $$ on 1000 mg tabs
I know it’s a different subject but the Israelis developed a way to find hidden land mines with fluorescent bacteria and lasers.

Yeah... docs will NEVER do it and NO LONG TERM STUDIES have been done because of “politics”.
Must be a time traveler because this study was done at the NIH in 2012 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22116695

Vitamin C in sepsis.
and this is another one done in 2009

Mechanism of action of vitamin C in sepsis: Ascorbate modulates redox signaling in endothelium
Just might to want to educate yourself and what the current state of management of sepsis is. Some interesting stuff with Vit E as well.
But since I’m a doctor, I’ll just rub essential oils on the soles of feet and some crystals at the head of the bed because I don’t want to be a stooge for “Big Pharma”.
I gotta tell ya, a close family member swears by Vitamin C. She told her doctor, a general practitioner her regimen of taking Vitamin C every day.
The doctor’s response was something like this: “I cannot give you any scientific proof that Vitamin C works to keep you healthy. But I will tell you that since I began taking it daily, my well being has improved!”
Reminds me of when we had our child and the new baby was teething. The old doc said to us “I cannot medically endorse this, but in the old country, we would put a little whiskey on a baby’s gums—not a lot, just dip your finger in and rub it on—and the pain will be alleviated.” We knew what he meant.
Just keep in mind that sepsis is the body reacting to an infection.
It is important to understand WHY and WHAT the body is fighting. Certainly it is important to keep this arrow in the quiver, but be sure to fix the problem as well.
The medical establishment has had a long-time problem with arrogance and attacking people with vision:

Taking vitamin C before a surgical procedure on any bone will prevent getting a non curable chronic pain condition called CRPS.
My father died from sepsis after he’d had surgery.
If Vitamin C causes stomach pains for you, try Ester-C. I have NO stomach problems with it.
So many billions of dollars are invested in pharmaceuticals. Yet many answers to human illness can be curbed or prevented by proper diet.
Hype article. No mention of what he really injected.
How does a single doctor encounter 150 sepsis patients?
Hmmmm.
A Doctor Klenner was maybe the first to utilize Vitamin C and even reported curing polio.

It seems past time that some objective studies were conducted by our government health organizations because no drug company would have the incentive to conduct the expensive studies required since vitamins can't be patented.
Not a doctor, but I also think that Vitamin C could be used in conjunction with most drug therapies without causing any interference. Seems nutty that more experimentation is not done on Vitamin C.

Anecdotal stories need to be backed up with more research, but on a side note, I was a co-author of a study from the 80’s that showed pre-treatment with vitamin C before prostate surgery resulted in decreased need for post-surgical transfusions.
Our methodology was not great so we did not send it in for publication and I moved on before we could redesign the study but it was intriguing.
If Big Pharma and their cronies in DC can’t sell it for $500 per pill, they aren’t interested.
Big Pharma would rather let people die from Sepsis for years and years than accept that they’re going to lost money on some of their products.
