Fast Moving Story But Lots of New Tidbits
self | 4/3/2017 | LS

Many pieces of the spying scandal on Trump are emerging today.

We know from both Mike Cernovich on Twitter (yes, he DOES have good info) and Eli Lake that Susan Rice requested the names in the "surveillance" to be "unmasked" (i.e., for the people on the wiretaps to be laid naked to the world).

We know Rice's name is on a security log somewhere, as per all rules, regulations, and practicies, in which she asked for said "unmasking." We, or the FBI if it ever chooses to do its job, can find said log very easily.

We know---that is, any sane person knows---that she could not have done this without Zero's complicit approval or a direct order.

We know this was done early, before Trump was the nominee, and so far we do NOT have any evidence that Yeb, Cruz, or Kasich were similarly "surveilled," leading me to think that the Dems ONLY feared Trump.

We know, as per A. J. Strata (http://strata-sphere.com/blog/index.php/archives/22109) that in fact the Russians didn't "spy" on anyone, that it was a PRIVATE CONTRACTOR beholden to the Dem Party, and that it was the Russians who WARNED Trump he was being spied upon.

There is a fascinating Twitter thread today from Jonathan Langdale: https://twitter.com/LarrySchweikart/status/848881406935564288

Langdale treats this like he was "imagining an argument" yet Flynn retweets and TO ME this sounds like in fact he had an extensive conversation with Flynn and that he produced this "imaginary" conversation that likely just happened.

Rush, Cernovich, Posebiac, many on Twitter, and Drudge had this really by last week. Yesterday, Fox began to run with it. Bloomberg today. Likely WSJ and a couple of other left-center rags will come out tomorrow.

The fake news media is now being forced into actually covering UNDENIABLE news that is 100% contrary to their preferences, or they will further descend into complete irrelevance.

Now, does Trump have the guts to prosecute? Yes, I think. But will it go far? Depends on, unfortunately, the Senate and crazy members of the House. Will they support a LEGIT investigation of Zero, and the leaking and the unmasking, or will idiots like McTurd obstruct? My fear is that McTurd and Grahamnesty will join an "impeach" chorus rather than seek real justice.

We all know---all reasonable people on both sides of the aisle know---this is treason. This is far worse than Watergate.

Love Cernovich.

If anyone hasn’t read his unedited interview with 60 Minutes, I highly recommend it.

He took them to the mat over and over again. No wonder they edited it down to just a few minutes. He cleaned the floor with Scott Pelly.

Twitter is Trump’s #1 weapon. Get used to it.

I know it’s a criminal matter. But just as a house is worth only what the market will pay, so too Trump can only go as far as Senate/Cong will let him without starting impeachment.

And, yes, even if he is on 100% firm ground, they might try if they see their entire power base being unraveled.

“Trump better prosecute!
So many people voted for Trump because he said he would drain the swamp, he said he would prosecute.
This crap has to be cleaned up. This crap has to be prosecuted. It needs to end!! For good. Trump said he would do that.”

I agree. I have been saying this for a while.

You don’t understand his strategy.

It really is brilliant. He sets the whole news cycle for days with a Tweet, while he just goes about his business of fixing the country.

Yea, but we learned from the FBI’s report on Russian election interference that any media outside mainstream media is just Russian propaganda... so we must ignore these sources.

He cleaned the floor with Scott Pelly.

No wonder Pelley is so filled with hate for Trump, he keeps getting his hair wet mopping floors for Trump supporters.

How about if she gives up Obama and Hillary?

“...DJT stay away from twitter...”

Twitter is how the President is able to make a successful end run around the enemy media’s obstruction and omission of important facts.

Twitter is a necessary tool right now and it is a very good thing think that DJT is willing and able to use it. I am not a personal fan of twitter and have no account, but for now it a valuable tool for the President.

I beg to differ on this. This is way beyond the House and Senate right now. They do not have prosecutorial powers, and since it now involves people who are no longer in government it’s probably outside their oversight authority for all intents and purposes. It is now a criminal matter.

For the players involved, there may be major civil lawsuits as well. I’m thinking particularly of Mike Flynn, who is now a civilian and has every right to address these matters in civil court.”

Sessions needs his deputy confirmed like yesterday...

All I’ve heard and seen from most news outlets today is that the information they got about Trump people was inadvertently gleaned from Russian communications. Nunes said it was NOT connected to the Russian investigation but they are still spreading the lie. When will it end?

“Let’s stop the bullshit posts about Sessions “succumbing to media pressure” by recusing himself — and fast.

The news about Trump and/or his team likely being subject to surveillance even before he was nominated confirms my initial suspicion about Sessions’ motives in recusing himself. He knew he could not be involved in an investigation of a matter where he was likely a victim and/or a witness himself.”

If he’s a witness and/or a witness, then someone else needs to do the investigation.

His deputy?

Who else could?

How effective a tool is it really for him? I do not have a twitter account, either. By continuing to use Twitter, Trump will continue to be the most controversial POTUS. Is that really worth his time?

My suspicion is that Preet Bharara was fired because the Trump administration intends to have his office (the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York) lead the investigation into this matter. If Trump Tower was the target of the surveillance, then this would be a good fit. It would be a perfect venue because it was Rudy Giuliani’s old turf when he was a U.S. Attorney in the 1980s.
