The Trump administration canceled plans to probe Americans for their sexual orientation in the 2020 Census, nixing efforts by congressional Democrats who’d wanted a better picture of the country’s increasingly complex family and sexual dynamics.
Gay-rights advocates had been pressing for the questions, saying it was time the country got an official count.

The government has no right to ask those things. Also, the new “Muslim” designation has to go. (OK, it doesn’t say Muslim, it says middle eastern, but we know exactly what they meant.)

Such questions have slowly been occurring more often in many Government centered forms or applications.
I expect there will soon be all kinds of questions on gun ownership, personal eating habits or one’s feeling about radical Islam too, unless the trend is checked and stopped.

While he’s at it, nix the requirement to answer anything beyond “how many people live here?” The Constitution requires that be asked; the feds are not empowered to compel answers to anything else.

The census is a head count, a capitation count, a numbers question.
How many people live in America? Period.

Isn’t the census supposed to be basically one question, as in:

I don’t understand why it needs any other info - especially that of sexual preference.

Legally you are obligated to answer these Census questions truthfully — under penalty of prosecution. How the hell would the government enforce this when it comes to sexual orientation? I was really looking forward to seeing the instructions for THAT question.
If the Gays want this type of information, they should pay for there own survey. I bet alot of people will tell them to Piss Off.
Cool. Now there won’t be Census fraud where somehow, you might’ve been ID’d as being gay when you’re not.
