Time to replace Paul Ryan as House speaker
Americanthinker.com ^ | 3/25/17 | J. Marsolo

Paul Ryan failed miserably in his first important task for the Trump agenda.

Since 2009, the Republicans have campaigned in the elections of 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016 that they would repeal and replace Obamacare. One would think that given this history, the Republican leaders, such as Ryan, would have a well thought out plan to repeal Obamacare.

Ryan probably did not believe that Trump would win and was unprepared to lead the fight to repeal Obamacare. Ryan did not support Trump during the primaries and did his best to damage Trump. Moreover, since Trump's election in November, Ryan and the Republican leaders should have been working on a bill to repeal Obamacare to consider immediately after inauguration. But it seemed that Ryan had a plan with little if any input from conservatives. Trump had to step in to force compromises and adjustments to appeal to conservatives.

All the so called ‘Freedom Caucus’ did was assure that Obamacare will never be repealed!

The MORONS just can’t get though their thick skulls that it takes 60 freakin’ votes in the Senate to outright repeal Obamacare, so it has to be done in stages.

Are they all really this stupid?

The Founders overlooked a provision to appoint a Dictator as the Roman Republic did on occasion for a limited term to solve specific problems.

The problems of getting the government out of the medical insurance business, annihilating the Federal judiciary and fighting mooselimb terrorists can ONLY be solved via DICTATORSHIP.

Presidents have assumed dictatorial powers before, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Obama.

TRUMP had better wake the f@#k up and start getting busy.

Pence is the President of the Senate so the parliamentarian can be overridden anyway. Secondly, why do we have a democrat parliamentarian appointed by Dirty Harry Reid anyway? McConnell needs to swap her out.

If you cant pass supposed phase 2 and phase 3 now what makes them think they will be able to do it in the near future? It doesn't make sense.

“compromise at the appropriate time and for good reasons is also a fine thing”

We are in a WAR for the very survival of this nation.

This morning we are sipping our coffee and pontificating about what should have, could have been done.

President Trump has to recognize and identify the enemy, even in his own ranks. In our first battle, he has chosen to follow and put his support behind Montgomery (Ryan) instead of Patton (Freedom Caucus).

I pray he is a quick learner.

I pray he is playing “3-D Chess”

However, he is only human. I cannot imagine the pressures he under. He is under threat of physical assassination. His family is under the same threat.

He has to understand he is in a bunker, fighting for his life. There is no room in that bunker for compromise. Absolutely no room for a Benedict Arnold.

That may be a bad comparison because Ryan has never been on our side.

I admit I have not researched this.
But why does a law passed via a simple majority in both Houses and a President signed it into law require a supermajority to undo? You only need a super-majority to override a veto! You don’t need to override a veto here, Trump would sign. It seems to me its just a bill to remove a bad law, therefore should proceed like any other bill.

Ryan wasn’t up to this job in the first place. He was past his sell-by date his first day on the job.

What you need is an experienced negotiator, someone who has a conservative bedrock yet is not anxious to sit in front of the TV cameras to puff up his or her ego. Someone who can talk and get a good deal. Not many of those available. Some folks have suggested Newt, I think he’s too much of a showboat. I’d suggest looking at Morgan Griffith, who was former Majority Leader of the House of Delegates in VA.

The ONLY way to get rid of SphincterCare WITHOUT 60 votes in the Senate is to do it in stages.

That is just a fact.

The idea, and the bill that was defeated yesterday, was to change all the law that could be changed until there was nothing of Sphinctercare left for the RATS to protect.

Once there was nothing left worth saving the RATS would be forced support a GOP healthcare bill.

The RATS had 60 votes to pass SphincterCare, it takes 60 to repeal it.

Ryan’s `Sell By’ date was Nov. 8, 2016. Time for little Eddie Munster to go. He’s not on our side.
