The Democrats are actively accusing the Russians of hacking, spying and disrupting our elections

Posted on 03/20/2017 12:23:29 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

The democrats are doing a full court press in trying to prove Russia influenced our elections. Ok, if true, why then was Russia so successful in hacking, spying and actively disrupting our democratic processes under President Obama?

Complete intelligence breakdown or what?

Obama's criminal negligence and incompetence?

Obama/Hillary complicity?

Obama sound asleep at the switch?

Or what?

Actually quite simple. Obama’s philosophy (Marxist) is much closer to Putin (ex KGB communist nationlist) than our founding principals of our great nation. Obama was never a patriot of our nation but a committed Marxist in the model of Saul Alinsky.

Today the Russians are a convenient foil to be used by the Obama crowd to cloud what has really happened. A true patriot is now the President of the United States. In their mind view he must be taken down by any means possible be it legal or illegal or by lies. They fear a true patriot.

ps
I was a total 100% backer of Ted Cruz. I did back Trump once he had the nomination as I considered him the lesser of two evils. I was totally wrong. Cruz would not have taken Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Trump has shown he keeps his promises. He appoints conservative constitutionals to the courts and his cabinet.

I am glad I was wrong!

Patriots have been pink slipped out of the security/intelligence agencies and have been replaced by political hacks.

That's the only explanation that I can see, unless you think Russians are just smarter than Americans.

I’ll take a crack at the ‘or what’.

Russia exposed the truth.

I just got through listening to several hours of democrats in a televised congressional hearing, basically accusing Trump (with no evidence whatsoever) of colluding with the Russians in spying, hacking, and (they say successfully) trying to undermine our democratic elections processes.

Assange has already stated that it WASN’T the Russians... the only reason Comey/Obama/Dems say it was the Russians is because that’s what team Hillary said.

Jim Robinson's rhetorical questions are not likely ever to haunt us! Why?

Because there is an essential difference in the way we operate, and the way that the Obamanists and Clintonistas operate.

We can surely make mistakes; but we have a moral compass, they do not. We are committed to serving the Constitutional values the Founders passed down to us; committed to serving the interests of loyal Americans; committed to protecting America. These are purposes utterly foreign to them.

The public record of the Clintonistas & Obaminsts goes way beyond anything that can be excused by mere mistake, by even stupid mistake.

We are arrayed against people who have openly embraced policies that absolutely required a failure to protect American interests. That was demonstrably their intent; demonstrable in their own repeated pronouncements.

i don’t accept your premise that we were hacked, your question hinges on that premise - nice try though

We are told that “The Russian Government” was behind the Podesta Wikileaks release.

That has now become gospel in the same sense that human caused Global Warming has.

But, AFAIK, no actual proof of that claim beyond a very convenient “consensus of the Intelligence Community” has ever been offered up as proof.

This whole Russian fiasco is built entirely on that fundamentally unexamined claim.

That’s not good enough for me and I’m betting it’s not good enough for a lot of Freepers.

But if I’m missing something and or if that Guccifer guy turns out to be Putin’s son I will gladly change my mind.

It was confirmed that DNC was hacked and WikiLeaks was used as a conduit to bring that information out.

My question is, if the democrats are correct that the Russians effectively undermined our election through hacking and spying, then, obviously, the Obama administration must have been grossly negligent in defending our national security. Or maybe they have some other excuse? Incompetence? Complicity?

The claim is that they supposedly hacked the DNC and Podesta servers, leaking damaging info that swayed the election.

Damaging info which was true!

If a reporter had done that, they would have won a Pulitzer.

It seems to me that if what they are trying to prove were true it would be an “act of war”. But it is false.

Are the democrats trying to get us into a war with Russia?

Playing with fire.

Mind control.
They send messages into bedrooms at night while you are sleeping.

I noticed it myself. Just as I was about to vote for Hillary a little voice in my head made me vote for Trump instead.

No, Jim, as we all know the whole thing was a scam from Day One.

Russia/Putin NEVER wanted Trump. Trump promised vastly increased drilling for oil and natural gas, plus a YUUUGE defense build-up. Both of these things, in combination, bankrupted the old USSR (THANK YOU, Ronald Reagan and William Casey!!!!!), and would do the same to Russia (which gets about 2/3 of its foreign currency earnings from the sale of oil and gas).

Hillary Clinton, OTOH, promises no change from the restrictive drilling policies and environmental policies that hamstrung drilling under Obama, and likely wouldn’t have increased spending vs. Obama’s on defense. Plus, as a bonus, Russia likely had/has LOTS of information on Hillary that would have been useful in negotiations.

For Putin to have wanted Trump to win would have required Putin to be a drooling moron, or owned by Trump - either of which is far less likely than a flock of flying pigs blocking out the sun tomorrow at 12:00 P.M.

I do get your point, which is to logically tear up the Leftists’ arguments against Trump on this issue...but there never was any Russian involvement in “hacking” the election.

The DNC was not hacked. Podesta is an idiot and fell for a phishing operation that my 13 year old granddaughter could do. I am pretty good with computers but if my I Phone has problems she fixes it in a minute or two.

She says "it is easy granddad just do this," and it is fixed.

All part of his agenda. He was very, very successful.

It is easy to destroy things. However, Trump will eliminate 0bama's legacy in less than a year.

NOTHING will survive. 0bama is an incompetent boob.

Shiny objects to distract.

Recall on election night, it was the CIA/HSD that supposedly was behind attempts to hack into election central in Georgia and possibly other states.

Recall too that the media stopped updating results for about 2-1/2 hours election night. That was after they realized Clinton was losing. They were trying to find (create?) ballots for Clinton. Their efforts were futile because the results would have some precincts having 120-130% more votes than voters to give Clinton the edge.

True, that they did. But we are better than they are.

But should the Russians or the Chinese or any other entity hack and release a party, campaign or candidate in 2018 or 2020, the same questions would apply to President Trump that you posited for Obama if we are going to hold Obama responsible for the release of the democratic party's information.

And if the same happens in 2018 and 2020 we should hold the President at the time to the same accountability.
