That is what happens when the NIMBYs get their way. Pipelines to bring fracked natural gas to NE have been thwarted by the usual suspects and methods.

More wind turbines and solar panels in neighboring states should solve this problem for them.

Excellent for the Zerobama cucks - except I’m sad for our fellow Freeper patriots in the Northeast. :(

Because it was wintertime?

It’s 80 in Texas today so that throws off the national average. We’ve had the windows open most days.

19.5 cents per KWH is close to double the national average. That is outrageous.

10 percent increase in its electricity distribution rates beginning early next year.

Weren’t electrical production and distribution separated in recent years by our politicians?

I need to get past this iron curtain surrounding New England over to some greener pastures. The CT government constantly has their hand in my wallet. If not the government it’s the burdensome regulations imposed by them that force businesses to charge you more.

We live in NE PA and our cost of electrical generation is under 7 cents a kilowatt hour. Transmission costs and taxes make up almost another 7 cents, but we certainly benefit from Marcellus Shale nat gas!

California is 18 cents kw in much of the state. Abundant oil and gas but the price rise was forced up as the democrats wanted people to switch to unreliable windmills and solar which cost way more money.

AT mt homes in California Electricity is about 18 cents per KWH, at my homes in AZ it is 8 cents per KWH.

Gasoline in CA is over $3, in AZ it is $2 ALL DAY LONG!
