An LGBT organization in Ohio has announced plans to target churches if they refuse to offer their property to be used in a homosexual wedding. In opposing the Ohio Pastors Protection Act (HB-36), the group Equality Ohio announced that they would target churches, forcing them to rent church facilities to groups which oppose that church's beliefs. This despite the fact that all the Roman Catholic bishops in Ohio support the bill, and Catholics make up approximately 20 percent of the state's population.
When asked "if a church community has a church hall that they rent to couples who want to have that wedding reception in that hall ... should that church hall and church community be forced to rent that to someone who wants to use that building for something that's against that church community's belief system," an Equality Ohio spokeswoman said, "Sure, I would say that if that space is open and generally available to the public for a fee, yes that should be available to everyone."
This statement may seem innocent enough, but to Representative Nino Vitale (R-Urbana), the author of HB-36, it is a declaration of war. "If you have property rights and religious freedom, shouldn't you have religious freedom, at least on your own property?" Vitale asked in an interview with PJ Media.
Specifically, Vitale suggested that the ACLU of Ohio, which he described as "a large cash cow organization that exists to sue people," and which opposed the Ohio Pastors Protection Act last year, would target churches if HB-36 does not pass. "That's what they aim to do," he explained.

During the national debate over homosexual marriage, we were repeatedly told by the liberals, that churches would NOT be sued over homosexual marriage. We were told that religious institutions would not be compelled to perform marriages which do not align with the definition of marriage within that denomination.
One state which legalized homosexual marriage, New York, made a big deal of how they had a major religious freedom clause in their marriage law, so that religious organizations would not have to perform other types of marriages.
So now this is where we are?? Now churches will be sued anyway, in spite of the liberals assurances that they were only seeking CIVIL marriage rights, as opposed to forcing others to perform homosexual marriage ceremonies??????
Use reverse psychology and MARKET IT TO THEM! The package will include comprehensive pre-marriage counseling and indoctrination into the tenets of Christian philosophy as a mandatory part of the services. They’ll run, screaming.
Ain't gonna happen,obviously...because the target of the left isn't religion,it's Christianity.
Next they will be forcing boy scout troops to accept gay scoutmaster. Oh wait....
They have been pretty successful at destroying Christian owned businesses. I guess it is time to move on to their next prey.

Too bad Christian leaders are more concerned with bringing in more Muslim refugees to line their pockets than they are at fighting crap like this.

It sounds to me that their plan is to target the church halls and have their own minister perform the ceremony. They will use the commerce clause to try to force churches to make the hall available. So for example, our parish has a room called the Martha and Mary room. I’m guessing that the lesbians would love that. A small ceremony in the room and then use the kitchen and bring out the catered food. The good news is that I have never heard of this space or the other big cafeteria downstairs used to anything not directly related to the parish. Since we’re a big active parish those spaces are busy pretty much every night and most days.
Our pastor gave up his state license 2 years ago.
Our church also no longer rents space.

And this is why you can't tolerate them at all.
I will point out to the religious among us that the bible mentions two different examples where homosexuals were tolerated in their communities. In the first example, ("Genesis" Sodom and Gomorrah ) they tried to homosexual rape Angels.
In the second example, ("Judges" Battle of Gibeah) Homosexuals tried to rape a male traveler, but satisfied themselves with rape-killing his concubine.
In both examples, the final disposition of the issue was that everyone involved with the debauchery was killed.
Modern Homosexuals haven't quite gotten this bad yet, but they are certainly proceeding in the direction of the behavior outlined in the bible, and I believe if they are left alone, they will eventually behave just as badly as the bible describes.
Not at our church. No rental of facilities and for a wedding, the couple would have to be members. They wouldn’t be accepted.

1) 40 hours of Christian Marriage counselling.
2) 120 hours of Bible Study.
3) Declaration that Christ is your Savior.
4) 3 day retreat with your new Christian brothers and sisters.
5) A 5000-word essay on why Jesus is important to you.
6) Bring 7 new members to the church.
7) Post 12 images of Jesus or the crucifix in your home, to be inspected.
8) 3 years prior membership in the church, with proof you attended every Sunday.
Easy peasy!
Any church except mosques.
