The GAYSTAPO strikes.
This isn’t about homosexual rights. This is about destroying religious institutions. Period.

Our church bylaws now prohibit letting anyone use our church facilities for pay and requires anyone who wants to use it in any way to sign a statement saying they support the Southern Baptist Convention’s statement of belief.

Not sure that is enough, but it would make it tougher to attack us.

Thanks for your reply,

I’m personally always hopeful that people will stop going to the places, and funding them.

Just one more thing that the Gaystapo formerly said they “would never do.”

The hall is used for parish functions and events, such as parish dinners sponsored by the Queen’s cooks, Night at the Races sponsored by the Holy Name Society, and a Spring Salad Luncheon sponsored by the Ladies Guild. McMcafferty Hall is not available or rented out for private functions.

They are not performing the wedding,

they are being forced to celebrate the sin, if the hall is open to the “public” to be rented.

If the hall exists for the parish, for parish functions, the entire matter can be avoided.

Actually having a Mass said on a Saturday evening at their gay club would be far more interesting.

I agree, but this is only the next salvo.

In six months, you’ll see some “happy couple” profiled because they had their little hearts set on getting “married” in the cute little church down the street and suing when they get denied. The courts will most likely side with them. Churches need to consult their legal counsel and put language in their written by-laws that their facilities will not ever be let out for the paid use of non-members. Or, come up with a non-member fee, like $100,000 a day, plus expenses.

When you build bigger barns you need bigger income to pay for it.

True. However, that doesn’t mean the cow is renting the barn.

Or, as my mom would say on an entirely different issue, “Why buy the cow, if you can get the milk for free?”

But when it comes to financing the bigger barns the bank wants to see the projected income (future cows) to pay for it. If the cows don’t calf right away then you have to rent some of the barn to pig farmers.
