So tragic. What a horror the girls must have suffered and now their families. The killer should get the electric chair or whatever they use in Indiana.
I have been following the case. My guess is these two girls set up a meeting with a predator, they met on social media. Guy scoped out the area thoroughly and found a secluded place. Had a gun and took them to the place where their bodies were found. Time line is very tight. Photo taken of one of the girls by the other girl on the bridge is time stamped 2:07 pm.. and all is well. They were due to be picked up by relatives between 3:00 and 3:30 pm. No way they were killed on the bridge and moved if only one perpetrator... not enough time to move two bodies and get out of dodge. A terribly sad situation.
Where did the pic of the perp, sorry, person of interest come from? It seems the task force knows more than they’re telling..
That’s been true for scores of years
Law enforcement has refused to answer that question. Seems there are a few possibilities. A trail camera, photo taken by other people on the trail that day, or recovered from the phone of one of the girls. Girls were found near a creek and it was reported that divers were sent in to recover evidence. Murderer may have thrown phones in the creek, but newer versions of iPhones are now waterproof.
My guess is they stumbled on a drug deal.
Very creepy story. It is what one expect on Criminal Minds or something similar..
I agree, really creepy. I hope they find him... quickly.
I live in Lafayette, Indiana and we are following this one very closely. Terribly tragic situation. There are only 4,000 people in Delphi and one of them did this.
13 and 14 hanging out near an abandoned bridge, what the hell is wrong with these parents
Rural towns are not the same as suburbs and cities.
Kids hang out it all types of places in these areas.
Its what goes on.
From the comments that law enforcement made about “knowing what’s going on in your children’s lives” it seems like there was something arranged, possibly recovered from a child’s phone. I’m just guessing. It seems like this was not totally random.
Not in my world. My husband and I live in rural and carry especially when we hike. I would never allow my 13 year old to go. RIP girls.
I see nothing wrong with the how the bridge looks or the area around it. NOTHING should be going wrong. Not in the America I used to live in. When I was young, kids could run around in the woods or wherever all day long. We weren’t overrun by perverts, illegal perverts, human traffickers, and the like.
I want to see us go back to the days when children could be out and about without fear of abduction.
I see, so you'd have no problem dropping off your teenage girls to go hang out at the venue above?
My feelings as well. It was also a weekday afternoon. The odds that a sexual predator would lie in wait on a weekday afternoon on the off chance that two victims would come by during a specific two hour window just seem too small to be what likely occurred. I think he’s local to the general area.
Reports have indicated it was the older sister of one of the two girls who dropped them off, which would make more sense.

??
My apologies, it was the other poster who never answered the question, not you. Perhaps you could address it. Thanks.
