“since EPA is a statutory agency, it needs to be extinguished by statute”

Was the EPA created by a specific piece of legislation/enacted law?

My understanding is the EPA was created by Nixon’s exec order “Reorganization Plan No 3”, which was approved by congress.

Should this be the case, it would be fairly easy to eliminate it, probably in the same manner it was created.

Who writes this stuff? A breathless, wildly exaggerated headline about getting our regulatory climate back to the heady days of 2015. “ A deluge??”...Is that Beltway speak for more than 1? And ,no the EPA isn’t going anywhere. How can it, when low hanging fruit like PBS shows NO sign of even being worried about its future. Everybody needs to calm down. Tomorrow, for better or worse, will be the same as today, but with different weather.

The EPA swamp.

The IRS swamp.

Hard to breathe waiting for the draining of these two.

What happens to Pruitt if the bill that simply shuts down the EPA passes? A case of Turtle Wax and a nice letter of recommendation from Trump?

Hahahaha.........................

“Bracing”? Shouldn’t they be anticipating and positioning to apply those orders? What worthless unessential government “workers”.

So do I!

I am a classically-trained musician. I studied the histories of jazz and rock as well as “classical” (Gregorian, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Serial, et al) music.

I happen to like all three basic elements of real music - that includes melody.

I know liberals will hate hearing it, but the individual sovereign states can protect their environment better than faceless bureaucrats in Washington, D.C., which would also save a lot of money.

But then environmental protection is not the goal of most environmentalists. Their goal is Communism.

Only needs “ONE”

We have 51 EPA’s now ... we could get by with 50

Nobody is for dirty air or dirty water, but it is time to end calling every small puddle of rainwater a “navigable waterway.”

Class of ‘85 now about to turn 50, so I’ve had some time to gain an appreciation of many forms of music. I’m happy to listen to a wide range of music; country, metal, rock, crooners, jazz for example. I failed miserably at playing guitar as a teen, but still plan to learn how someday.

With rap... there’s no musicianship, no compelling voices that sing, there’s idiotic lyrics (often profane, stupid and violent). The culture it promotes is equally distasteful, dumb, and destructive.

That's broadly true of most anything over the past two decades, but there actually is some "old school" hip hop and rap that isn't bad.
