EPA bracing for a deluge of Trump executive orders
Legal Insurrection ^ | 2-16-17 | Leslie Eastman

This may be the beginning of the end of one of the most business-crushing entities in the nation.

President Donald Trump is poised to introduce a series of executive actions aimed at scaling back Obama-era climate change initiatives.

Quote

The president intends to sign the actions during a visit to the Environmental Protection Agency headquarters to swear in Scott Pruitt as head of the agency, Inside EPA reported Tuesday, citing an administration source. The timing of the event has not been determined because the full Senate has not yet confirmed Pruitt.

The Hill reported on the Inside EPA report on Wednesday. The White House did not immediately return CNBC’s request for comment.

The source did not share the contents of the executive actions, but told Inside EPA they would “suck the air out” of the room

EPA bracing for a deluge of Trump executive orders

As if Obama's multitudes of EPA-related EOs didn't constitute a "deluge." But then again.. THOSE gave the EPA more power with each passing week.

Consider it anthropogenic executive climate change due to massive amount of hot air regulations that were released into the economic atmosphere, that trapped money and innovation underneath a choking cloud of bureaucratic pollution.

Just reducing that footprint, EPA.

The EPA was created to clean up the air. They succeeded. However, the government created a permanent agency to perform a temporary task. Having hired lots of people whose job is to write regulations, they continued doing their job. They won’t say, “well, we have cleaned up the air, it’s time to quit.” So, they found other problems, like who owns the water on private property? They produce thousands of regulations, each of which has the power of a law. You can go to prison for violating them.

Back in the nineteenth century, I believe, a Supreme Court justice said, “Ignorance of the law is no excuse.” But back then the laws were fewer and followed reasonable dictates. You could probably figure that stealing or murder was against the law. But today you can catch too many of a protected fish and go to prison. Since I don’t know one fish from another, I don’t fish.

Where I live there is a “self funded” city and county EPA. Self funded means they have to go out each day and write fines to get paid. So, to aide in that task they produced thousands of regulations and many are “criminal” violations. They use the tact that if you pay the fine you get the “criminal” arrest removed from your record. Fail to pay and the state takes your driver’s license away. It’s like the Gambino family protection racket, but legal.

It’s time to reevaluate the EPA racket.

yes some Trump orders can help but... since EPA is a statutory agency, it needs to be extinguished by statute

the ball’s really in Congress’ court...

Why “brace” for less work?

The only “bracing” necessary is the long line at the printer to pick up your printed resume.

Trump only needs one: “Remove all established EPA-generated regulations and eliminate all EPA operations by December 31, 2017, remanding all remaining monies to the Defense Department.”

Fact is that Obama never got approval from Congress for all the illegal regulations he and his agencies passed. The law requires that rules may be nullified by a vote of Congress within the later of 60 days of the rules being effective or Congress being informed of their becoming effective. Obama gave the middle finger to Congress by never notifying them of the rules. However, Trump’s new appointees can notify Congress now, and they can simply vote to nullify them.

We need a cartoon showing Big Bad Wolf Trump blowing down Little Pig Obama’s house built of straw, or if you prefer a scriptural context, a house built on sand.

One way to deal with the E.P.A. Is to totally defund it.No funds. No pay checks. No Obama drones.
