White House Plans to Have Trump Ally Review Intelligence Agencies
NY Times ^

Posted on 02/15/2017 7:04:33 PM PST by springwater13

President Trump plans to assign a New York billionaire to lead a broad review of American intelligence agencies, according to administration officials, an effort that members of the intelligence community fear could curtail their independence and reduce the flow of information that contradicts the president’s worldview.

The possible role for Stephen A. Feinberg, a co-founder of Cerberus Capital Management, has met fierce resistance among intelligence officials already on edge because of the criticism the intelligence community has received from Mr. Trump during the campaign and since he became president. On Wednesday, Mr. Trump blamed leaks from the intelligence community for the departure of Michael T. Flynn, his national security adviser, whose resignation he requested.

There has been no announcement of Mr. Feinberg’s job, which would be based in the White House, but he recently told his company’s shareholders that he is in discussions to join the Trump administration. He is a member of Mr. Trump’s economic advisory council.

Mr. Feinberg, who has close ties to Stephen K. Bannon, Mr. Trump’s chief strategist, and Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law, declined to comment on his possible position. The White House, which is still working out the details of the intelligence review, also would not comment.

The CIA is actively engaged (WAR) against Trump and the American People using their bread and butter skills: destabilize and overthrow. Even Wiki Leaks said so today.

They need to be stopped. Cold.

They are the most dangerous agency on earth, for others and Americans.

Trump needs to Drain That Swamp ASAFP!

The CIA is, was and always have been the mafia leg breakers for the fascist Wall St. oligarch globalists. It’s job was to secure low cost raw materials for the West, maintain the debt slavery of the 3rd World, suppress any movement to redress this criminal extortion and keep the media and the public unaware of who these Bilderberg aristocrat basterds actually are...goosestepping Nazi goons birthed in the beginnings of the NSDAP, the National Socialist Workers Party. Their pick the last time around was Clinton and Jeb. Unfortunately for them, the military chose Trump. There’s a reason he has so many generals around him.

“I don’t know what on earth Trump can do about all that.”

FDR called Wild Bill Donovan, and told him to organize the OSS from scratch.

Seems like Trump could call on someone competent and tell him to build a new agency from the ground up, after blacklisting current employees.

Mad Dog Mattis needs to take his knife with him for those one-on-one chats...in case he wants to have cheesecake or something.

Through Cerberus, his private equity company, Mr. Feinberg has strong ties to the government contracting industry. Cerberus owns DynCorp International, which has had a wide array of large contracts providing security to the State Department and other agencies. DynCorp is now locked in a major legal dispute over the fate of a $10 billion State Department contract that it previously held to provide air support for counternarcotics operations overseas.

John F. Kelly, the new Homeland Security secretary, was paid $166,000 a year as a DynCorp adviser until he was named to the new administration.

Cerberus also owns Remington Outdoor, a major firearms manufacturer.

In 2008, Mr. Feinberg also considered investing in Blackwater, the security firm founded by Erik Prince, a former member of the Navy SEALs, before it was ultimately acquired by other investors.

New York magazine reported last year that Mr. Feinberg went to Blackwater’s North Carolina compound in 2005 to take firearms training.

Cerberus Capital Management is one of many blood sucking private equity companies responsible for the deindustrialization of the United States over the past 30 years. Its business model is to use high levels of debt to buy American companies. offshore and outsource operations, strip out the cash, sell off the parts, lay off the employees, enrich the partners of Cerberus, and leave behind a bankrupt shell. They are vultures, not builders.

So Trump’s idea is these Wall Street vulture investors are going to perform an objective evaluation of intelligence agencies. Who in these agencies is going to cooperate with a bunch of wealthy Wall Street investors who know nothing about creating real value in the private sector, much less anything about intelligence gathering?

Trump seems infatuated with generals and billionaires. With less than a month in office he’s already down one general and one billionaire.

I’d recommend abolishing all of the current intelligence organizations with the exception of the Defense Intelligence Agency - Place all U.S. intelligence assets under Mattis. Everyone is out...and start rebuilding from scratch. The cancer is too wide and too deep.

I disagree. The Clinton’s have a way of making people permanently irrelevant. Just hire their crew and get’r done.

The CIA has been stuffed full of Communists and leftists of all kinds for as long as I can remember. I used to think that the OSS was OK, before the changed the name, but then I realized that FDR was basically a Communist and that they were working for him and his good pal Stalin. Sure, they did a lot to defeat Hitler, but only to hand everything over to Stalin instead.

My father was a young officer in Army OSS in World War II. He was a good kind wonderful Christian man, a patriot and probably slightly to the right of Barry Goldwater. How DARE you make a broad brush statement like that. I know my father would never ever ever have been part of anything like that. He was working organizing resistance against Japanese in China and China was not even taken over by the communists during WWII. I have no idea where you came up with that idea.

Yes FDRs domestic government was infiltrated by commies at that time , but OSS was part of the military and it served a military intelligence purpose.

Yes the agencies now have been totally corrupted but it wasnt like that back then.

What a pant load. Sorry bud I'm retired Agency and your living in a hollyweird inspired conspiracy fantasy. Yeah I'm sure it has gone down hill badly over the last 8 years but it is still staffed by some of the finest, smartest, and hardest working people on this planet.

Basic human intelligence is likely the best way. Spreading the huge volume of necessary tasks using the pyramid structure, identifying key trusted sources farther down the hierarchy in each agency and relying on them to name the radicals and subversives. They will know it based on working with them on a daily basis.

Darn right and as you well know, people who sacrifice almost everything if not everything for this country. Many of these noble public servants give their all and all their might. Sacrificing family is sadly a way of life for many too, So thank you and to you and all those like you, eternal thanks. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
