The opening weeks of the Trump administration have been described as tumultuous by many, potentially leaving White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus head on the chopping block.
Chris Ruddy, founder of Newsmax Media and one of President Trumps friends, said Sunday on CNN that the White House is showing not the amount of order that we need to see. I think theres a lot of weakness coming out of the chief of staff.
After these comments on CNN, Ruddy told The Washington Post, Ive gotten three text messages from sitting Cabinet members praising my appearance. They realize this whole government depends on this chief of staff. The significance of Ruddys comments are compounded by his tweet that he spoke at length with President Trump at Mar a Lago Saturday night.
Its my view that Reince is the problem. I think on paper Reince looked good as the chief of staff and Donald trusted him but its pretty clear the guy is in way over his head, Ruddy told The Post. Hes not knowledgeable of how federal agencies work, how the communications operations work. He botched this whole immigration rollout. This shouldve been a win for Donald, not two or three weeks of negative publicity.
The Newsmax founder and Trump confidante subsequently seemed to back off his harsh criticism of Priebus and tweeted, Reince just briefed me on new WH plans. Impressive! CNN today my personal view.
A potential replacement for Priebus is New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who was one of the the first key Republicans to back Trump and previously headed the presidents transition team before being forced out by Jared Kushner. Like Ruddy, the New Jersey governor has called the roll out of Trumps travel ban botched and placed blame on the presidents staff.
Christie appeared on CNN Sunday and wouldnt deny that he recently spoke to Trump on the phone. The New Jersey governor said that he would be open to joining the Trump administration, although he intends to join the private sector in a year after his term is over.
Roger Stone, a Trump confidante, told The Daily Caller that he doesnt think Christie will replace Priebus as chief of staff. Christie is reportedly scheduled to have lunch with Trump at the White House Tuesday.
If Reince bombs out, no one can say Trump didn’t give the GOPe a chance to supply talent for his White House.
I don’t care about Mr. Rinse but to talk about replacing him without a clearly superior candidate in view is preposterous. Christie???? Give me a break!!
As though Christie knows the federal departments so much better?? Anyway, absurd to put someone new through the learning curve now when Rinse might be getting up to speed, we’ll see.
Yes. Miller is smart and tough. Takes no BS from the media. I never like Rinsed Penis. I don’t trust him. Sneaky.
This article AND an article from Zerohedge thread earlier are both using Chris Ruddy (Newsmax) as the ‘credible source’. Of course, Chris is supposed to be friends with Trump, but “friends” are not the same as working associates and subordinates - employees.
I daresay we’ll be seeing at least 2-3 varied threads on this today - all sourced from the mouth of Chris Ruddy.
Fake News.
Ruddy have a personal grudge against Reince? Can’t be much of a friend if he pokes Trump in the eye via CNN....
Ruddy from Newsmax. Enough said.
I quit watching Newsmax TV when they cut off DML (Dennis Michael Lynch) when he was live. DML, who is pro Trump and Anti illegal immigration was fired that night.
Newsmax is GOP on overdrive
Or maybe they are softening the ground for Trump’s first personnel adjustments. Longtime Trump pal Roger Stone and an associated online/radio host have been hinting the same as well—including that Priebus and his allies have been leaking such tidbits as Trump being like a “clueless child” in an important meeting.
FWIW....AJ just said RP may be ‘quituated’ soon.
Who are these “friends” of the President?
