Could Reince Be On His Way Out As Chief Of Staff?
Daily Caller ^ | 2/12/17 | Alex Pfeiffer

Posted on 02/12/2017 6:59:02 PM PST by markomalley

The opening weeks of the Trump administration have been described as tumultuous by many, potentially leaving White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus’ head on the chopping block.

Chris Ruddy, founder of Newsmax Media and one of President Trump’s friends, said Sunday on CNN that the “White House is showing not the amount of order that we need to see. I think there’s a lot of weakness coming out of the chief of staff.”

After these comments on CNN, Ruddy told The Washington Post, “I’ve gotten three text messages from sitting Cabinet members praising my appearance. They realize this whole government depends on this chief of staff.” The significance of Ruddy’s comments are compounded by his tweet that he spoke at length with President Trump at Mar a Lago Saturday night.

“It’s my view that Reince is the problem. I think on paper Reince looked good as the chief of staff — and Donald trusted him — but it’s pretty clear the guy is in way over his head,” Ruddy told The Post. “He’s not knowledgeable of how federal agencies work, how the communications operations work. He botched this whole immigration rollout. This should’ve been a win for Donald, not two or three weeks of negative publicity.”

The Newsmax founder and Trump confidante subsequently seemed to back off his harsh criticism of Priebus and tweeted, “Reince just briefed me on new WH plans. Impressive! CNN today my personal view.”

A potential replacement for Priebus is New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who was one of the the first key Republicans to back Trump and previously headed the president’s transition team before being forced out by Jared Kushner. Like Ruddy, the New Jersey governor has called the roll out of Trump’s travel ban botched and placed blame on the president’s staff.

Christie appeared on CNN Sunday and wouldn’t deny that he recently spoke to Trump on the phone. The New Jersey governor said that he would be open to joining the Trump administration, although he “intends” to join the private sector in a year after his term is over.

Roger Stone, a Trump confidante, told The Daily Caller that he doesn’t think Christie will replace Priebus as chief of staff. Christie is reportedly scheduled to have lunch with Trump at the White House Tuesday.

Why would anyone want the head of the RINO party as COS?

What happened to drain the swamp?

“This should’ve been a win for Donald, not two or three weeks of negative publicity.”

Nonsense. Trump could have hit three weeks full of grand slam home runs and he STILL wouldn’t have had anything except three weeks of negative publicity. That won’t change no matter who’s chief of staff.

Ruddy backed Hillary for president. I don’t expect any valid info about Trump inner circle events from him or CNN. And just because Preibus has not been making headlines doesn’t bother me. The Chief of Staff should NOT be in the news, but working ‘behind the scenes’.

Tumultuous. That means he isn’t capitulating to the Democrats, right?

I see no reason whatsoever to believe any of this.

They are tying to pick off whomever they can, whether it’s Gorsuch, Flynn, Conway, now Priebus, by whatever means they can.

Sow division and discord is their goal.

No matter what Trump does or does not do, he will receive no accolades. Only demands to sacrifice this one or that one or he has to go or she has to go.

To hell with these ***damned people. Give them nothing. They deserve nothing. Crush them. They are the scum of the earth.

I don’t want them in my country anymore.

Chris Ruddy did FANTASTIC work re: Vince Foster, but something super weird happened later and he ended up GOOD BUDDIES with Hillary.

I believe he donated to Hillary over $1 million.

I....can’t understand why he is protecting Trump, or IF he is.

He is all over the place and I can’t figger it.

Ask Trump if you missed it. I believe he has already answered the question.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the questions floating around about Reince being immune to media hit jobs. Questions gaining momentum.

Where are the Reince Priebus Hit Pieces?

I’m no fan of Reince and the EO was a bit of a botch no two ways about it. It can still be fixed though. Trump must know now what a problem the courts will be. I don’t trust Reince but Christie if worse he is the swamp. I don’t want him anywhere near the Whitehouse. I will never forgive his beach walk with Obama 3 days before the 12 election.Never.
