A Muslim-American Olympic medalist says she was detained by Customs for nearly two hours without explanation after President Trump's travel ban was instituted a few weeks ago.
Fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad, who won a bronze medal during the 2016 Olympics as the first U.S. athlete to ever compete while wearing a hijab, said that she was "upset and disheartened" by the incident, according to Popsugar.
"I personally was held at Customs for two hours just a few weeks ago. I don't know why," Muhammad said in an interview published Thursday.
ADVERTISEMENT "I can't tell you why it happened to me, but I know that I'm Muslim. I have an Arabic name. And even though I represent Team USA and I have that Olympic hardware, it doesn't change how you look and how people perceive you," she added.

If up to 25% of muslims are actively looking to kill Americans, I still don’t see why a muslim ban would be unreasonable. In a sane world, it would be called for immediately. Not only that, but all mosques would be monitored closely.

Big deal. I have been detained by US Border Patrol several times and I am as white and as American as they come. I wasn’t allowed to proceed down a US highway outside El Paso because I didn’t have a US passport though I had a US military dependent’s card and my reserve ID. And I got stopped in San Diego. I was very large and muscular them. I think they thought I was smuggling steroids. They also don’t like it when yo won’t speak to them. Name and where I am from is all they get.
two hours good grief. I have been held at an Italian airport for longer than that. Why I do not know, but they let me go, and I put it down on them that they were doing their investigation into something.
My wife always seemed to be the person called aside to be checked out when we boarded planes for travel.
She wasn’t Islamic.

Is this the one who went all crazy hating the US during the Olympics? Then good. Detain it, do a full body cavity search and don’t feed it after midnight.
She should be glad the government is keeping possible Muslim murderers who dont like the fact that she is an female athlete, out of the country
