As pointed out by other posters, the vacuum of Christ permits the ever prevalent evil.
Well yes... graphic wickedness.
Sometimes God lets things get this ugly so that people will say “oh, my God!” At which point God answers “You rang?” All too sadly the answer He next gets is often “Don’t bother me, I’m busy.”
The body of that child was not permanent anyhow, and never was going to be. She was going to die; the only question was when, and how. However, ghastly manners of death like this raise serious questions of humanity.
I want to try to give an accurate answer, and yet one that is not cold and geeky. I don’t know if I have succeeded.
But anyhow the pattern is so often: Ghastly scene, followed by a game of ding-dong-ditch at God’s door. It truly takes the Lord to be patient with this.
And I’m sometimes not an exception to this either. I sometimes have my own way of ding-dong-ditch, especially when a difficult issue is involved and I really want to feel like it depended on me.
I’m not sure there’s a correct (or accurate) answer that can be given to this horror.
While I can’t speak to God’s intent, I’m comfortable with the aim of Christianity — a correction on the otherwise intrinsically evil nature of existence. Something of a paradox I suppose...

Yes, I see. I mistakenly thought it was going to be the Texas girl who recently hanged herself. Didn’t realize this was in the UK.
I have family who knew the Texas girl, Isabella, and couldn’t imagine she would wear dark lipstick, because she was a more traditional 12 year old, so I was curious to see a photo.
I intensely dislike the darkness in fabric colors today and cosmetics, and paint colors. This insidious dark tone has been around now for 15 years and I am quite sick of it.
They have ruined the color pink, with black additive. There has been next to nothing available in the pastels that is clean and pure and pretty. Black is dropped into everything.

Mom and boyfriend argued that it was boyfriend's cousin, Jessica Kelly, who flipped out and murdered Victoria (as well as beat them with an iron, causing the injuries on their faces on the mugshots). The boyfriend maintains he was just there to have sex with the little girl while mom watched, to kill her.
I suppose this is what the defense attorney might be talking about.
