CIA director nominee Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.) said Thursday that he would rather not wade into the climate change debate during his confirmation hearing before the Senate Select Intelligence Committee.
“I frankly as a director of CIA would prefer today not to get into the details of climate debate and science. It seems my role is gonna be so different and unique from that. It is gonna be to work alongside warriors keeping Americans safe, and so I stand by the things that I’ve said previously with respect to that issue,” Pompeo said.
Sen. Kamal Harris (D-Calif.) asked Pompeo, “CIA Director Brennan, who spent a 25-year career at the CIA as an analyst, a senior manager, and station chief in the field, has said that when ‘CIA analysts look for deeper causes of rising instability in the world, one of the causes those CIA analysts see is the impact of climate change.’ Do you have any reason to doubt the assessment of these CIA analysts?”

Yes. Why the heck should the CIA director be involved in any kind of climate change BS even if it were true?
This is very refreshing to hear. What, a government employee who wishes to stay within his areas of expertise? Remarkable.
Many or few words, ended up saying the same thing. It forces his inquisitioners into explaining why the CIA should care about the supposed “war on climate.”
The CO2 theory has already been discredited by real science as being nothing but hot air.

This whole global warming thing gets so crazy after a while.
So we can’t even question things, do scientific research, any of that. We need to accept on faith that global warming is man made and a direct threat to our way of life.
And it gets so crazy, when these liberals say how global warming/climate change is the greatest threat to mankind, the greatest threat to our well being and way of life in the world today.
I would submit that the threat of Muslim terror, such as ISIS threats, are greater threats to us than global warming.
This could actually be an interesting discussion, if liberals were amenable to actual rational talks.
For example, we could compare and contrast the issues. ISIS wants to kill us all. ISIS has killed and invaded countries and is causing great upheaval today. Here and now.
On the other hand, “climate change” threatens, if for sake of argument we agree that things will happen, gradually rising sea levels and gradually warming temperatures in many parts of the world.
On the one hand, if we don’t fight ISIS, we end up dead. On the other hand, if we accept for sake of argument that climate change will cause predicted problems, we will survive, and have many decades to adapt and prepare to adapt to the effects of climate change.
This is just off the top of my head. But just saying, is climate change really the greatest threat facing mankind, as these bloviating liberals sometimes say??? When compared to threats such as ISIS??? Really????

Actually these lefties should be VERY careful if they were shrewd and yet really believed in this stuff... they are nudging Br’er Rabbit towards the briar patch here.
If it IS (and if so, still is) in the CIA bailiwick to look at things that could foment world unrest, then guess what. The warmist fraud is likely somewhere on that list! It causes vast expenditures on vanity, weakening what might otherwise be more robust countries — just what the lefties like.
This inversion of sense could pop back out as the dent the lefties have tried to put in the sense of the world. If they’re shrewd they won’t touch it. But God makes foolish the wisdom of the “wise.”

Cultural marxists must be massaged with words. It true. Straightforwardness and concise answers are not easy for them to process. I am being serious. It does not take into account their feelings. There is way I communicate with Democrats as opposed to how I communicate with real conservatives.
