President Obama had to deal with a small domestic crisis at the White House -- a family friend was bitten by Sunny, the First Family's 4-year-old dog.

We're told the incident occurred Monday when the 18-year-old was visiting the White House. Sources connected to the girl tell us she went to pet and kiss Sunny, and the dog bit her on the face.

Sunny -- a female Portuguese Water Dog -- left a nasty gash under the girl's eye. We're told the Obamas' family physician, Dr. Ronny Jackson, checked her out and decided she needed stitches.

“My chocolate lab would never bite anyone.”

I don’t think anybody’s lab would ever bite anyone. They’re about the friendliest breed on the planet.

Now wait a darn minute if that was my dog and bit an eighteen-year-old hard enough to need stitches from a medical doctor Animal Control would have been called I probably would have been fined and the dog might have possibly been put down...

We’ve had our greyhound for over a year (rescued racer). Very sweet dog. Every couple of months my wife insists on laying on the floor and putting her face next to the hound’s. Hound doesn’t like it and responds with a snap. Hasn’t bitten her, but lets her know to back off.

I think Teddy was already room temperature by then.

I am willing to be that Teddy is a bit hotter than room temperature these days.

Standard practice is to immediately quarantine the dog for testing, then euthanasia once tests are done.

Are they receiving SPECIAL treatment for some reason?

NEVER EVER PUT YOUR FACE NEAR A STRANGE DOG!....................

Our neighbor's daughter continued to ignore us and would try to bother our small dog when he was sleeping. The dog nipped at her one day and her father got a bit upset with me. I informed him that he needed to teach his daughter how to obey what the adults in the room had been telling her for several years.

Obama will, as POTUS, settle the lawsuit for several hundred million dollars as a way of repaying for her victimhood.

Yeah my sis pup is the jealous type since he was here before the baby arrived, got used to getting ALL the attention, he is such a sweetie but sometimes will just snap at ya..its a Pomeranian thing, unfortunately he also inherited the trachea collapse, common in the Pomeranian breed so its something we are trying to deal with..Maxie, the Shih Tzu, her was always around kids so he doesn’t get jealous

“Dogs are a reflection of their humans. My chocolate lab would never bite anyone. She tries to make friends with everyone she meets. But, then again, my dog grew up in a loving home.”

Same here. I have two, the smaller one’s 92 lb. and half Black Lab/half American Staffordshire Terrier (sometimes called “Pit Bull”) and the large one’s a 115 lb. Great Dane. The greatest problem any visitor, including trades people and delivery people, has with either is that the smaller one wants go go for a ride with the visitor. Everybody laughs at me when I call them “trained guard/attack dogs.”
