The name 'dirtymac' was given to me when in the US Coast Guard in the late '60s. On our base in Hawaii we had three guys with a surname of mac--- something. The really big guy was tagged as 'big mac', the really little guy was tagged 'little mac' and since I was the assistant bar tender on the base EM club with a title of bar back, a friend tagged me with 'dirty mac the bar back' . This quickly turned to dirty mac and has been around in some form ever since.

I am a very conservative individual with a little social liberal bent. I strongly believe that we need to help the less fortunate of us like widows and orphans as prescribed in the bible. Helping is very different from taking care of which is a paternalistic leftist attitude that is a cheap and mean spirited way to power. it takes advatage of peoples fear.
