In his weekly address, President Obama on Saturday delivered a message to the nation for the new year.
In his message, Obama reflected upon the “significant progress” he and his administration made over his two terms, citing Obamacare, the death of Osama bin Laden, and the Iran nuclear deal.
He also praised the power of “diplomacy” for creating the Iran deal that “shut down Iran’s nuclear weapons program,” fostered new relations with Cuba, and led to the Paris Climate Agreement.
“We have made extraordinary progress as a country these past eight years,” said Obama. “To keep America moving forward is a task that falls on all of us.”
On his plans upon President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20, Obama says he plans to take on the “even more important role of citizen."
“I will be there with you every step of the way to ensure that this country forever strives to live up to the incredible promise of our founders -- that all of us are created equal and all of us deserve every chance to live out our dreams,” he said.
He added that it has been his “life privilege” to serve as President.
President Obama will deliver his farewell address in Chicago on Tues., Jan. 10.

An ex-president has less than NO power nor control and Obama is THE worst president, in the entire history of the USA and probably including future presidents; unless we ARE taken over by the damned Muzzies and the La Raza armies, sometime in the future.

I know it may be impossible but I think we’ll see even more obama once he’s out of office than we have already. Except for a few times back packing the past 8 years I think I have either heard about him, seen him, or heard his voice every single day multiple times. Even living in Berlin and vacationing in Poland there he was. Everywhere. His ego simply will not allow his infection to go away.
This is first time I've ever heard of Obama praising the founding fathers. I do remember him saying the opposite, i.e., "In five days we are going to FUNDAMENTALLY change this country."

I hope he stays involved on every issue. It is simple really, he is wrong on everything and O is the main reason the GOP owns so many political offices. He is too wrapped up in being the first black president that he can’t see he was a complete failure.

Talk about Bitter Clingers. Obama called conservatives as people clinger to their guns and Bible.
Talk about being bitterly clinging to his last vestige of power. Should we have to remind him that as he said ‘election have consequences’. More recently his minions keep saying that he is President and their is only one President at a time.
