Obama was on the Board of the Woods Foundation with Ayers at the time of this interview. The purpose of those entities was to educate children in the mold of Ayers' world view. Barack Obama agreed with that and directed millions of dollars to alternative schools launched by Ayers.

Everyone in the press -- myself included -- is whining about the inability to interview Gov. Sarah Palin. Or, at least shout-out a question or two to Sen. John McCain's choice for vice president. Although considering the speed of light in which a gaffe can travel in this campaign season, her decision to steer clear of reporters may be a very wise one. Reason enough to contact my fellow journalists to help me compile a Top Ten List of "I can't believe he/she just said that" reasons why Sarah Palin doesn't want to take questions from us:

Bill Clinton said Monday the Democratic ticket should steer clear of launching personal attacks on Sarah Palin over her relatively thin resume, and instead acknowledge she was a "good choice" for the No. 2 spot on the GOP ticket. "Why say, ever, anything bad about a person? Why don't we like them and celebrate them and be happy for her elevation to the ticket? And just say that she was a good choice for him and we disagree with them?" said Clinton, who faced repeated charges during the primary season he was overly negative toward Obama on the campaign trail....

John McCain is portraying Barack Obama as the product of Chicago's corrupt political machine in a new TV ad that showcases Illinois' scandalous side. In the 30-second ad, voters are introduced to Gov. Rod Blagojevich's "legacy of state and federal investigations," Senate President Emil Jones Jr.'s "ethical cloud," William Daley as a "lobbyist" and "money man" Tony Rezko as an Obama's "patron" turned "convicted felon." Rezko was a major force in the early days of Obama's career and he helped him buy his Hyde Park mansion a few years ago. Rezko was convicted this year as the architect of a...

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- You just knew that when Joe O'Connell, former head of the local AFL-CIO, got on stage here with John McCain and Sarah Palin things were not going smoothly for the Obama campaign among union voters. "I am a lifelong Democrat, an intelligent Democrat, who is supporting John McCain," O'Connell said last week as a crowd of 7,000 waved "Another Democrat for John McCain" signs and roared its approval.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Hackers broke into the Yahoo! e-mail account that Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin used for official business as Alaska's governor, revealing as evidence a few inconsequential personal messages she has received since John McCain selected her as his running mate... The Secret Service contacted The Associated Press on Wednesday and asked for copies of the leaked e-mails, which circulated widely on the Internet. The AP did not comply....

“A lot of people have gotten nervous and concerned. Why is this as close as it is? And what’s going on?” Mr. Obama said, speaking to about 300 people over dinner at the Greystone Mansion. “We always knew this was going to be hard – this is a leap for the American people.”

Seldom has there been a larger contrast between the style of a candidate and the strategy of his campaign. Barack Obama is cool, firm and permanently unruffled. It is precisely this quality of steadiness that has made him seem a credible prospective president with the thinnest of résumés. But Obama's campaign is rootless, reactive and panicky. At every stage since securing the nomination, it has seemed fearful of missteps and unsure of its own organizing principle. So it has invariably adopted the Democratic conventional wisdom of the moment. Obama's first major decision was his running mate. He could have reinforced...

A new pro-life group comes out swinging today, and it chose a powerful spokeswoman for their cause. Gianna Jesson survived a saline abortion 31 years ago, and has fought to stop the barbaric practice of leaving such living infants to die by abortionists unwilling to face the failure of their procedure. Jesson testified in 2001-2 to get Congress to pass the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, and now she joins Born Alive Truth to point the finger at the only current member of the Senate to have voted against such a bill:

I was stunned to read the report today in Amir Taheri's column that Obama attempted to undermine force strength negotiations of the sitting Commander in Chief in a time of war through secret, backdoor, election year negotiations of his own. If true, the implications would, it seems to me, be serious and stunning. A question for Corner experts: What does the Constitution have to say about such an act? My understanding is that the International Commerce Acts of 1798 prohibits any private citizen or party from negotiating with a foreign power in matters of national policy or military action. (H/T...

Barack Obama was interviewed by Bill O'Reilly last week. BARACK OBAMA: ...on this Ayers thing, which you've been hyping, Bill. O'REILLY: Not that much. BARACK OBAMA: This guy did something despicable forty years ago. O'REILLY: Despicable last week. He said he didn't do enough bombing. That's last week. BARACK OBAMA: Here's a guy that does something despicable when I'm eight years old. Alright? I come to Chicago. He's working with Mayor Richard Daley, not known to be a radical. So, he and I know each other as a consequence of work he's doing on education. That is not an...

Less than 3.5% of all registered Democrats have donated to Obama and the majority have been MAJOR donors, not small ones as has been misstated repeatedly by the Obama campaign. The latest lie came today with the announcements that $66 million were raised in August and that the greatest part is that the donations "come in the $10s and $25s from the average citizen", quoting Sen. Schumer on Sunday, 9/14/08 on Meet the Press. Even Tom Brokaw responded in doubt: "But a lot of them come from big friends of yours on Wall Street and New York, and people have...
