Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tweeted on Saturday that he would oppose funding for the United Nations until the UN Security Council reversed an anti-Israel resolution that it approved on Friday, with the acquiescence of the Obama administration.
The resolution not only describes the Israeli presence across the 1949 armistice line as illegal — including in the Old City of Jerusalem — but also encourages countries to target Israeli settlements for boycotts.
The Obama administration had vetoed a similar resolution five years ago, taking the traditional U.S. position that the dispute between Israelis and Palestinians is best resolved between the two parties, and not by the UN. However, President Barack Obama and outgoing UN Ambassador Samantha Power — a genocide expert known for anti-Israel views, and notably silent on Syria for most of the past eight years — could not resist the opportunity to land a parting blow against Israel, and abstained from the resolution rather than vetoing it.
In a statement on Friday, reacting to the UN Security Council vote, Cruz said:
For eight long years, the Obama administration has worked systematically to undermine the nation of Israel. They actively worked to defeat Prime Minister Netanyahu, and illegally used U.S. taxpayer funds to do so. Never has there been a more anti-Israel Administration, and today’s United Nations vote is the culmination of their systemic agenda to weaken Israel and strengthen its enemies.

I am just saying that Lyn’ Ted is a failure, everything he touches ends in failure, and his lying is endless. Beside, he is universally disliked. How is bring him in help on this issue, except to undermine a side? The OP may be playing Lyn’ Ted out there for an agenda of its own. In any case, for more respected and trusted people to look to for opinion and leadership. At the moment, I am waiting and watching to see what Preside Trump says and does. Loser Lyn’ Ted should crawl back under his rock. Good riddance to him.
A small numbers post negative comments about Cruz ..most are supporting or, at least, remaining neutral.
Of course, this is much like what John Bolton said Friday night, but with Ted, he’s got to hotdog it and grandstand on issues, being an opportunist. He probably wants us to fight Israel’s wars to bring on Armageddon so the Rapture happens. Clown.
Why are we funding anyone who is trying to work against us?

One of the things that really turned me off about Ted was him forcing himself on his daughter for a “kissing my daughter” photo op. Made me ill.

I don’t know what Trump will do, but I am looking forward to see the mayhem he causes over this despicable Obama move.

Cruz has always been on the right side of a number of issues - that isn’t what caused so many of us to disdain him.....give him credit for the attaboys, but don’t think they wipe out the aw shits....
