1/10th the cost, minus some stealth, but any nation that we need stealth against is already capable of radar that sees stealth.

So he intends to Sole Source to Boeing, vs an open contract competition?

I completely back this move.

I recall plans had already been drawn and it would have saved a ton per plane.

Defense contractors are quickly beginning to realize that, unlike his predecessors, Donald Trump is not someone willing to accept their outrageous charges at face value. This is a man who knows all about submitting bids, competing for contracts, negotiating prices, controlling costs, dealing with vendors, and meeting schedules. They can’t BS him the way they could with previous administrations.

Brains in D.C? Who woulda thunk it?

Haven’t seen brains in D.C. since Reagan in the 80’s.

Been awhile. Feels good.

Why not? The Super Hornet is a proven aircraft that does what we need it to do minus some stealth capability--and it's a hell of a lot cheaper.

Trump is being presidential while Obama is figuring out ways to get more Muslim terrorists into the country.

He’s asking for a cost...it’s market research. Completely legal.
