The suspect sought in the fatal shooting of a south Georgia police officer is confirmed dead after he was surrounded by police Thursday in a house in Americus, Ga., according to the local police chief, WSB-TV reports.

Of course! If the LEO shouts, “Don’t move or I’ll shoot,” but the perp moves anyway, and the LEO then DOES indeed shoot him; THAT was logically a self-inflicted wound or wounds.
In all honesty, this whole thing smacked of “suicide by cop” from the get-go. He had an outstanding kidnapping charge against, and pretty much indicated that he wasn’t going back to jail.
It could have been “suicide by cop” or it could have been simply “suicide.” We haven’t yet been told enough to know.

Be that as it may. I’m not giving out pity or understanding to cop killers or killers in general right now. I must pray about my total lack of humanity and feelings about these people

My attitude may not have your blessing and I don’t care what you think, God can deal with that. My child knew these fine young men that were killed by that worthless POS. His friends and co-workers had to work the crime scene. May the criminal ROT in hell for what he did.
God’s judgment always supervenes. Go ahead don’t care what I think. I am a mere mortal. But it is exceeding wise to care what Christ thinks, and when He, peering down eternity, sees an ultimately willing soul... no matter WHAT bad things they did before... He goes in for the save. Unerringly. And He will defend that save to all eternity.
You, too, need the salvation, as I did, because of being a fallen mortal. And attitudes against Christ’s salvation will deny it to you. Shared with one, shared with all. No favoritism.
It’s God who will have to judge that.
