The Supreme Court oral argument that cost Democrats the presidency
Washington Post ^ | December 7, 2016 | David Bernstein

The presidential election was so close that many factors were “but-for” causes of Donald Trump’s victory. One that’s been mostly overlooked is Trump’s surprising success with religious voters. According to exit polls, Trump received 81 percent of the white evangelical Christian vote, and Hillary Clinton only 16 percent. Trump did significantly better than the overtly religious Mitt Romney and the overtly evangelical George W. Bush. He likely over-performed among other theologically conservative voters, such as traditionalist Catholics, as well. Not bad for a thrice-married adulterer of no discernible faith.

” Not bad for a thrice-married adulterer of no discernible faith.”

Bwahahahaha....Yes, not bad at all. The butthurt is strong with this one and for some reason the more they seethe, the more I laugh and enjoy myself. It’s been sooo long since we have enjoyed winning politically and I’m really enjoying each day a bit more. I’ll never tire of it.

As a Lutheran, I have one simple question: Is DJT baptized in the name of THE FATHER, THE SON and THE HOLY SPIRIT?

I’ll be more comfortable with a positive answer but I can bide my time...

Someone (AKA: Fai Mao) should define the unword “Christianized”.

I don’t remember the MSM coverage of this topic. I think buried is a better description.

Trump was baptized as an infant in the Presbyterian Church. I believe it was still Christian 70 years ago.

I wrote that I hope liberals really enjoyed running Brendan Eich out of his job and closing down the Sweet Cakes bakery, because it cost them the Supreme Court. I’ll add now that I hope Verrilli enjoyed putting the fear of government into the God-fearing because it cost his party the election.

Here’s my take: Trump is deeply convicted that there is a God and that he is a righteous God and he lives his life according to that belief. However he also discerned that being overtly religious presented an attack opportunity for the left. So he took that off the table. However it’s clear to see that he is setting up his administration with a definite bias toward supporting Christian principles and beliefs. He’s GOING to appoint pro life judges. No doubt. He’s going to make it easier for religion to get breaks.

I want Trump to make up a VOTER ID, using this picture & tout it as an example for the entire country.

The voter ID has to be IDENTICAL for all citizens—When you move, you get a new voter ID with that new address at the same time you get a new driver’s license.

That's the way liberals express (their closest approximation to) ironclad certainty: they "feel" something.

Of course, once they have framed the discussion as a matter of "feelings", then they have got a movable goalpost that they can set wherever they want. Facts are set and unchangeable, but feelings can be manipulated and tweaked, especially when you have control of the schools and media.

Everyone does well to call this language out, as you have just done, whenever it appears. Resist the leftist gameplan to mark the field so that only their scores count.

The VERY FIRST people Trump had meetings with when running for office were people of faith!! He had the insight to KNOW how they have been condemned for YEARS, CHRISTMAS was on the chopping block for goodness sakes. He had the insight to KNOW the Johnson amendment was destroying their religious rights he went to FAITH leaders FIRST he KNEW people of faith WERE middle America, he threw PC out the door and HE WON. May GOD BLESS ALL the people of faith they TRULY pounded the pavement for this man, they KNEW he was NOT a perfect man, but had the foresight to SEE that they were NOT perfect people either. I believe THEY were the force that SAVED our republic I for one am VERY GRATEFUL to each and EVERYONE of them!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS to ALL!!!!

During the Supreme Court oral arguments in the Obergefell case, the Solicitor General indicated that a college or university may lose its tax exempt status if it opposes same sex marriage.

Then they should also lose tax money for opposing immigration laws.

Oh wait a minute! I nearly forgot: court edicts are “law” and legislated acts are merely suggestions.

I personally find God’s intervention in this election cycle to be darn near undeniable.

I fully concur. America dodged a bullet by defeating that PIAPS.

She was bought and paid for by foreign interests, and God only knows what was bought.
