I cannot go through TSA anymore without gritting my teeth.

I understood after 9/11 why this was done, if we weren’t going to profile there was no other way. (I preferred, and still do, the Israeli approach)

But it appears to me to be a Federal Jobs Program, and nothing else. I try not to direct my irritation directly at the people there, but sometimes I just cannot help myself.

Even though I prepare scrupulously so I don’t hold up the line, I am always pulled to the side, have my bag opened, manually searched and have my hands swabbed.

My wife pokes a little at me, but I am rarely in the mood to laugh.

Left Jacksonville with a small tube of toothpaste, with then my 8 year old son.
No problem getting there.
On way back a woman from the TSA saw I was with my son, and said I had to go through a new machine which looks for bombs or explosives.
It was one of those areas where you walk in and it sort of sucks the air out, but also does like an xray.
I told the woman I was with my son and she could make sure he doe snot wander off. She never watched him.
I went through the machine, and the woman and another woman were whispering and smiling.
I left the area where I was being checked to which one of the women said they now had to pat me down, in the meantime my son was being lost in the crowd.
I shouted my son , and thankfully he came up to me, but you can bet that woman had a good few gropes.

Still don't know what that area which sucks the air out or something like that is called, but heard it was like an x ray machine. If anyone knows then please let me know.

Must be the expression on your face. Just like me, you as a free citizen can’t hide your resentment. I maintain stoical silence and lock my eyes straight ahead while a goon whispers, “You know, we can always have you strip searched.”

Being white doesn’t help, either.

Hope President Trump guts this outfit, fires all their @zzes, and institutes Israeli style airport security.
