AN SAS sniper has picked off his 100th Islamic State militant during fighting for the Iraqi city of Mosul.
The impressive tally makes him one of the most successful snipers in the British armed forces.
His latest kill is said to be a high valued target in the terror group, which has put up fierce resistance as the US-backed coalition attempts to recapture Iraqs second city from the extremists.

Taking his position outside a compound that was once a base for former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, the sharpshooter needed just a single bullet to punch through the senior ISIS commanders body armour, killing him instantly.

Reach out and touch someone.
Why does ISIS fight so tough when the Iraqi soldiers had to be dragged out from hiding under trucks when fighting with American soldiers against jihadists way back?
Never fired one, but have heard great things about this rifle.
As for the SAS. Well we never usually hear about them as they hate themselves being promoted, but they are deadly, and are the best in the world in what they do.

Congrats to Mr Sniper!
What do you get a sniper for his 100th kill? Ammo?
Hallmark has nothing for that.
Hell must be getting more crowded.
Victoria Cross?
Don’t tell Joe Biden. He’ll reveal the guy’s name.
Volunteers vs conscripts?
Probably my next purchase.

All folded up, its around 22” long.
I wonder if this is the same sniper who took out an ISIS executioner who was burning people to death with a flamethrower. The fuel tank on the executioner’s back was hit & it exploded! :-) That shot was also over a mile away & SAS.

Having my son and my best friend’s son on active duty in Seals and SF, I and they would rather not see this type of news release. It just makes certain individuals and their families into a target.

A cloak and a scythe. He’s earned it.

We had a man in SF who actually led an SAS team on an OP. He was a CPT when I knew him in Vietnam. He was good.

I have a friend who makes custom greeting cards. If I knew where to send it I am tempted to have her make one for him.
The IS fighters are religiously motivated and DIP or if they are caught fleeing they die with a round in the back. Iraqi secular/state motivation is not as strong due to a weaker military structure. Think early US revolutionary militia against Napoleonic War-hardened British regulars.
