Given the low priority on pistol practice and the general shoddy marksmanship in much of the nation's police forces, there's not much chance you'll get hit, at least in the first volley so you should have some time to sort things out. Remember most cops are products of the public schools, so their attitudes on guns will be similar. Could be a good thing in your case. Make sure you use ammo different from the cops so that you can prove than any hits on innocent bystanders didn't originate in your weapon.

There is a huge Somali population in Columbus. The refugees were all given priority status right away. They’ve been there since the mid 90s.
