Technically, it NEVER has to be completed!
The legislature can appoint the Electors themselves if neccessary.
“2: Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.”
Now, in practice... the Electors meet on *December 19th* this year to cast their votes. So it should be done before then.
Other things can appear, too. I believe this hasnt tapped into any of the absentee (e.g. military) votes yet either.

I think they were counted. This event won’t change the outcome but rather give the naysayers something to complain about, imo.

After people signed into Wisconsin’s My Vote website to check the status of their vote, an error message appeared and a box indicating their absentee ballot had been recorded was blank.
But all absentee ballots were included in the results of the 2016 election, Reid Magney, state Elections Commission spokesman, said.
After the election is over, municipal clerks go through the thousands of names of voters in the polling books and record them online, Magney said.
“After the election, they have workers who sit with barcode scanners and scan in the barcodes of everybody who voted,” Magney said. “That process can take up to 45 days.”
Voter participation in each municipality for this election will be updated online after all the votes are recorded.
In Wisconsin, 828,451 absentee ballots were submitted, making up about 28 percent of the state’s total vote compared to 21.57 percent of the total vote during the 2012 election.

OK, will grant that. It’s like a stop sign. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go after you have stopped. Normally, you will.
There’s no sense in wetting our powder with our sweat.
Nonsense.
The legislature can appoint electors.
I said anyhow, sit TIGHT.
Hold on to the chair... the vehicle may move violently and we need to be still poised in that chair.
Reading pessimistic things into what people say is part of singing the song of woe.
That’s true... it would be one way of untangling the mess. And it might not even need to be partisan, if Wisconsin simply wants a seemly result.
It could be a long drawn out drama. I hope it doesn’t waste hundreds of hours of Freeper time.
Go read post 5.
You said sit tight and watch
Post 5
You have to be so right that you push your pessimism on everybody else, assuming they mean the worst possible thing.
I know what that’s like, I have been there and done that.
Go run around with hair on fire then, if you choose. But don’t forget what you were told when you discover the consequences and see what you ought to have noticed but never did.
I am now going to follow my own advice and watch it dawn on you... which it WILL.
Indeed.
How is it that Democrat operatives will be conducting the recount? Or is that supposition? The governor of the state is a Republican. Typically Electoral Boards are chosen by both parties with the governor’s party have one more board member.
At our polling place, and I imagine throughout Virginia, a member of each major party is required to sign the official tallies that get called into the electoral board. The ballots are secured in a sealed box then taken to the government center.
We may see some amusing activity from Madistan, Wisconsin.
The left are spectacle hounds and picking Wisconsin is possibly one reason for this.
Vehicle may move violently. Keep seat belt on and tightly fastened and observe the signs overhead for further instructions if needed. However we have tested this flight system for conditions worse than this and it has always gotten to the destination.
... one RESULT of this...
Maybe she didn’t make a campaign appearance because she thought she had it sufficiently rigged....then too late, realized this was a landslide and they didn’t put in enough fraudulent votes to make it a sure thing.
The county clerk and 2 qualified electors of the county appointed by the clerk constitute the county board of canvassers. The state is run by Democrats.
Possibly, had a ground game by proxy going that was being told that Wisconsin was a safe ball into the left pocket. Again, the hidden Trump votes and the nonsensical profile of support for Hillary (almost as many men as for Trump) that went unnoticed.
So when the Badger State went for the honey badger it was a surprise.
” It takes a special kind of stupid for anyone to pretend that hacking or voter fraud was responsible for Clinton’s loss in a state where she didn’t even make a single campaign appearance after she was nominated. “
they are probably going to stretch out the recount long enough to delay the certification of the electors for Trump’s victory. they are probably also generating fraudulent new paper ballots as you read this in order to throw the election results into the US Supreme Court.
“This is nothing more than an opportunistic cash grab by Jill Stein, striking while the iron is hot with insincere promises of a magical election do-over.”
That’s what I have been seeing too.
It’ll be a sabotage effort for certain.
Captain Donald Trump is going to have to navigate through this storm. He has been helped by God before... God is not unwilling to keep helping as long as we keep praying in faith for the grace. In fact this whole scenario looks like it will be part of how God is going to get the prayer engine of America (and Israel, who does not want to see a Hillary disaster happen to its best material and spiritual supporter) tuned up better. It’ll need it. We have worse enemies than even the Rats in Wisconsin yet to be vanquished.
I say it’s going to be some white knuckle moments. But IF WE KEEP FAITHFUL we’re going to see, once more, win, win, win, win, win, and more win.
