LIVING ROBOT with 'HUMAN BRAIN' close to creation as super AI computer around the corner
Express UK ^ | 11/26/2016 | Joey Millar

Engineers at the University of Massachusetts are developing microprocessors which mimic biological synapses - the nerve cells which pass messages across the human body.

The science fiction-style project is being undertaken by Joshua Yang and Qiangfei Xia, professors of electrical and computer engineering at the US college.

Their work focuses heavily on memristors - a computer component which could change science forever, switching the focus from electronics to ionics.

Count on them taking their work home with them when the time comes ...

I guess they don’t remember the “Tower of Babel” thing.

You can already build a computer that mimic’s the Progressive Millennial’s brain. You give it an input and it produces a programmed output. No intelligence or discernment. Just lots of reaction.

However, you will need some wetware to do the simpering, blubbering, bawling, and whining.

So true. But their hope is to chip everyone at birth so they are incapable of “thinking” in any way other than the program for the Brave New World of One “Religion”, One Mind, where Up is Down, Vice is Virtue and Boys are Girls.

All the dirty masses will be interchangeable drones for the State to use-—no individuality, no ability to “think” outside their program, no identities, etc., and who will be terminated immediately if program malfunctions.

We're getting so close...

...But do you really think we should?

They can never create Free Will, Desire and Ability for Love, and an Absolute Moral code written in their Being. Those things are only God-given.

All they’re creating is a flexible mega-computer that can expand its algorithms based on expanding data inputs.

Completely Agree. A computer will only be able to do what is within it’s programming. It will never actually “learn” or think for itself. It will never understand or create real emotion.

you got that right. Point 1: Memristors are radically new technology still a long way from being reduced to practice. Point 2: The concept of memristors address memory. Period. The promised benefit is important. But memristors have NOTHING to do with synaptic connections - at least not in how we currently understand neuronal function. - For example, we are still grappling with the fact that a typical neuron will have thousands of other neurons connecting to it - firing at different times, with different neurotransmitters, with different intensity levels of firing. We are not even close to emulating a fraction of that capability. Side Point: symmetric versus asymmetric neural nets. As far as I know, we still have not successfully modeled asymmetric neural nets. If that is the case, it pushes the dramatic claim in the title even further into the future. Lots of sci fi novels to write just here...

Not really. You can make a “whiner” soundboard on your computer and program a PLC to fire a solenoid valve dispense saltwater from a reservoir whenever you click on the soundboard.

Depending on which gang of globalists take over the world, this can either be the State or it can be the Corporation that buys and sells you as a labor commodity with the exact same end results.

Who is going to donate the brain?

Sorry, they will get an unpleasant surprise. The human brain is made to live in a human body. The brain placed inside a robot will transit to insanity within a short time.

This article reminds me of C.S.Lewis’ novel, That Hideous Strength, where the National Institute of Co-ordinated Experiments (N.I.C.E) conducted a similar experiment.
