Why The 'Poorly Educated' Love Donald Trump Back
newsweek.com ^ | 11/25/2016 | Josh Lowe

Donald Trump spent much of his election campaign raging against groups he doesn’t like; Muslims, the media, Mexicans and the rest. But there’s at least one group he’s a fan of. “I love the poorly educated!” the president-elect to be declared after pulling off a victory in the Nevada caucus of the Republican primary.

Now, an analysis of his shock election victory shows the feeling was mutual.

It was “education, not income,” that was the strongest predictor of a vote for Trump, according to the polling analyst Nate Silver.

Once upon a time I actually knew an illiterate Republican. (His wife read to him what she wanted him to know. LOL)

He built a chain of Mexican restaurants and was a millionaire and philanthropist. One of the nicest people you'd ever meet.

Your friends from Princeton and Yale are almost certainly over mis-educated. Those schools,as have almost all of the higher education entities in this country just plain oust or marginalize those of a conservative bent.

One of the comments on this very appealing youtube was about these videos showing Trump in a positive way are coming out now after the election. Of course the haters will hate no matter what.

No, population density is the strongest predictor. Not many tractor drivers have a master's degree, but many big city coffee baristas making less money do. Politics is fundamentally driven by population density, not education. As population density increases, property becomes more communal. It requires more rules, restrictions, taxes, and big government to make it work.

My dear Josh Lowe: Piss Off you airy-fairy arsemonger! You Limey git! Your mother dresses you like an uphill gardener. Spare us your arse-licker tripe you mingebag. Do us Yanks a favor and stay on the other side of the pond, you gormless manky prat. Sod off with your contemptible diatribe; sell it to your Yorkshire Wazzock clan.

Most of us who are highly educated and voted for Trump are educated in useful things. Not gender studies or grievance politics.

Most of us who are not highly educated and voted for Trump have an abundance of common sense and real world experience. Two things that are sorely lacking in the “elite” who think they are better than us and ought to be running our lives.

The big difference between conservative “elites” and liberal “elites”.

Ours are like Trump: Successful people with common sense and experience in the real world. People who can point to actual accomplishments, things they have designed, built, written, etc. People who have created wealth from their own ideas and hard work.

Theirs are like Clintons and 0vomits: Have never lived in the real world, have been appointed to most positions they have held, have done little actual working any position, have never had to meet a budget, grifters who have lived off taxpayer dollars, people who think they know better than everyone else and who should be telling us how to run our lives even thought they have never been successful at any real world job. People who have consumed the wealth of taxpayers and have never produced anything of value.

Actually, you are referring primarily to the liberal arts portions of those schools.

It is (or at least it was) a different story in the science and engineering departments. They put up with conservative there because liberals are too stupid to succeed in those departments and they need them to bolster their reputations as something other than indoctrination centers for people who will never hold productive jobs.

This article is about me, sadly.

I only have the one Masters Degree from Rensselaer Poly.

To make it worse, Rensselaer is the oldest technological research university in the US.

Stupid me, I should have at least gone to a newer one.

Agree, the STEM majors are not mis-educated in the liberal arts, but they tend to be undereducated in the liberal arts of the Western Canon. That too is a deficit.

Some of us didn’t earn a degree. Even though I don’t have one, I worked on the Shuttle team for 36 years as an non-degreed pneumatic, propulsion, integration engineer. Man am I stupid or what!

Granted a mere Ole Miss BA but deans list nonetheless

32 on ..maybe it was 30 ...on ACT IN 74 back before they jacked the scale 3-4 points

150s IQ...in my late teens...my oldest boys is 140s at 15...it runs in family and frankly is a curse at times

I run around 138 now on tests....60 years old next year

I was accepted or invited to apply for law at UVA and Wake Forest and Tulane...my LSAT was 703 or 713 on old scale....like 5 percentile

I chose the world instead

I literally provide in total or partial for 10 dependents

I’m book wise smarter than average but my mind overloads my reason sometimes and I’m impatient with slower processors

And I know plenty smart accredited Trump people

Safe haven academics love the left cause they lack courage

College paper doesn’t define smart btw

“Poorly educated” was worn as a badge of honor just as “deplorables.”

These Hillary slaves think the way to influence people is to keep calling them uneducated racist bigots. Well, you did it as long as I’ve been born and people are sick of it. And they said “fine, I’m a racist bigot deploreable, screw you.”

She didn't say that about MALE DEMOCRATS. She called TRUMP supporters "deplorable."
NOT surprising, is it?
