It was never tested on humans but is now being manufactured and sold by clandestine labs in Asia.
"These synthetic opioids are so potent you essentially have to dilute it by mixing it in with heroin or something else because it's too powerful," he said.
Thirty-one states have reported overdose deaths from U-47700. That includes Colorado, where two people were killed in Boulder County in January.
But it was a case in Utah that thrust the drug into the national spotlight. Two 13-year-olds overdosed and died after buying the drug from a classmate who purchased it online.
Hospitals are also very concerned, especially in Colorado, a state that already has a big drug problem.

There is one of the routes to MDMA which involves drinking an industrial solvent. Sounds delicious, doesn’t it.
What does that mean? Do you want the Federal government to launch another holy drug war on Colorado? It seems to me that people voted for Trump partially because they were tired of an out-of-control Federal government abusing the people. Perhaps a Fascist Theocracy would be more to your liking?
Interesting. Thanks.
What’s wrong with this new drug? I think it’s a new way to “take out the trash.”
Alien Nation, later made into a tv series and several more movies.
“Stupid Florida just voted medical marijuana.”
As a Floridian who’s discovered the medicinal use of cannabis. As someone who’s life has been greatly improved as a result. I am thankful to God Almighty that medical cannabis was passed in Florida.
Ummm.... no.
;^)
Libertarian->English translator: 'people voted Trump because they expect to get free drugs for all'
Vietnamese gangs will be moving in soon.
Even if not in deadly amounts, what a sleeping gas.
Liberals like you wanted the prohibitions in the first place, knowing that people would depend on them, rather than on larger things, to keep their lives sane.
Lunatics like you...
Projectors like you, on the scale of cineplexes.
America once had no such bans.
Liberals — insufferable nannies — called them on.
You are the lunatic if you do not see the hand of man here pushing away the face of God. America always prospered taking the middle way. Now we have a genie that will not go into the bottle — because we have the WRONG bottle for it.
Hear hear! Thank God the Afghanis love America!
Im very glad that it helped you. We have a place in Colorado and I can tell you that after med marijuana past it just wasn’t enough. You know what happened. If only it would stop at medicinal.
On this you and I agree.
L
Thank you.
Based on my experience & that of some friends/acquaintances, cannabis is like anything else in this world. Too much isn’t good for you. All the propaganda I was taught & heard regarding cannabis for 55+ years of drawing breath was pure BS.
My sister-in-law has lived in Colorado for more than 20 years in the Boulder area. She visited over the summer & we asked her what if anything had she noticed since cannabis was made legal. She assured us she had seen nothing different since it was voted in. She is a non-user & has kids in the public school system & is involved in her community.
It’s been legal in other states + Washington DC & only the “horror” stories seem to come from Colorado. Based on what I read, the problem is the need for “instant change of this & this” vs reality for the complainers. 20 years from now, no one will think of it much differently than we have alcohol for 80 years.
More freedom is always better. Peace :)
The lawsuit was thrown out by a judge.
Come on, Ethan. I bet you know your history well enough to know PROGRESSIVES instituted prohibition. You support a progressive prohibition which is counter to smaller gov’t conservatism.
Progressive prohibition supporter Ethan translated into English: “I don’t want people to use cannabis ever. I have no real reason for it except I just don’t want other people to be able to decide what they want to eat, or drink if it gets them high in the process. Also, I am more moral than the rest of you people. If you get addicted to pills that don’t work as well as cannabis does then you are just a drug user & should die.”
More freedom is always better than less freedom, Ethan.
