President-elect Trump demanded an apology from the cast for making an unusual, politically charged appeal from the stage on Friday night to Vice President-elect Mike Pence, who was in the audience, urging him and Mr. Trump to “uphold our American values” and “work on behalf of all of us.”
Mr. Trump, who has stirred bipartisan concern over his habit of attacking those who challenge him, said that the actors had “harassed” Mr. Pence and issued a battle cry to his supporters by saying that the musical’s cast had criticized “our wonderful future VP Mike Pence.”

No, Trump needs to put them in their place. He has a lot of control as president over discretionary funds and he needs to make sure that people like these lose their federal funding.

What?! You can't be serious. The President-elect defended his running mate, the now Vice President-elect. Where I come from, real men defend their friends.
The musical "Hamilton" is a racist twist on history, with nearly all the performers being "people of color." They put out a casting call for "people of color" only, no whites need apply. And yet they dared to stand on that stage and insinuate that the incoming President and Vice President are the racists? Not on Trump's watch...and not on mine either. The time for sitting back and taking it from the Left is over.

I think Trump needed to do what he did in his tweet, called them out. That sends the message that this is not acceptable and puts them on notice. But I agree it should be allowed to die now, since the left has been making fun of Pence all day on Twitter with #NameAPenceMusical and crap like that.
Now we use the power of discretionary spending to let them see if their play can survive with half the audience it might otherwise have had.
Actions have consequences.
