Is this official? I’ll wait for another source.

I would like to see Ben put in charge of reforming the VA healthcare system. I think this would be a great use of his talents. Essentially, most veterans requiring routine healthcare should be placed in TriCare while the VA Hospital system should be more or less dismantled leaving only COE’s that focus on cutting edge technologies such as Brain Trauma, Robotic Limb development or PTSD treatment. This would be a great use of Ben’s talents.

Once your in that t.v. talk circuit/book selling club, I have a feeling it’s pretty intoxicating.

No judgement, nice guy.

This is a good thing.

Ben made terrible anti-2nd amendment proposals during his campaign.

Give us conservatives only.

Carson was ridiculously unqualified to be President and probably isn’t qualified to be a cabinet secretary either.

Dang - that’s a loss. Imagine having a real Brain Surgeon at cabinet meetings. Dr. Carson would be a tremendous asset

WHAT? That is exactly what I had hoped a position for Carson would be. I’m disappointed. Ben, your country needs you. C’mon, Man.

The author of this piece, Raffi Williams, has much sounder judgement than his father does.

“he lacked the administrative experience required to operate an agency at a high level”

Yet he put himself forward to be the President of the United States.

I think he needs to be out working with the Black community getting them off the Democrat plantation.

That would be a noble thing and quite a feat. If he were to "free minorities" again, he would take his place in history along side Martin Luther King, another Republican supporter.

He is a good man but lacks the experience and qualities needed.

I think Dr. Carson wanted to be Secretary of Education. The Surgeon General doesn’t do much.

Trump needs tough guys that can rip up the bureaucracy. The reason why Trump won the gop primary in the first place was because he wasn’t just a talker

I hope he gets offered Surgeon General. Maybe he’d accept that.

Why would he do that? Surgeon-General is a purely ceremonial position. You get to wear a fancy uniform, but there is almost no responsibility and virtually no power to accomplish anything.

I thought HHS was oversight for FDA and Consumer Protection Agency (Not sure what it’s called). Surgeon General.... Aren’t they responsible for pushing labels on everything, drug trial approvals, etc.?

Yep. It’s like the football coaches on TV. Why work yourself to death coaching when you can get a TV gig that pays millions a year?
