RALEIGH, N.C. — The Trump train that carried Republicans to victory all over the South may have left one car behind in North Carolina — Gov. Pat McCrory, who trailed by a few thousand votes Thursday in a still too-close-to-call race that played out amid anger over the state's transgender bathroom law.

The law limiting LGBT rights appeared to have a substantial role in the Election Day contest between McCrory, who signed the measure and vigorously defended it against boycotts and other protests, and Democratic Attorney General Roy Cooper, who called for its repeal.

True = a Cooper win would just mean gridlock because the NC Legislature MAINTAINED Republican leadership despite the Dem vote fraud shenanigans. (Guess they couldn’t manage keeping the precincts open in any counties except the corrupt Durham County).

And here’s a reminder to all:

We can help turn this election fraud around:

People can contribute to the legal fees here: http://nc.gop/. Have only til Nov 15th to raise $1 M for legal defense fees.

I don’t know that a recount is automatic. I think a candidate has to call for a recount.

But in this case, the votes are not all in - we need to work (donate) and pray that the corrupt and cheating Dems don’t win this governorship election!

These votes separating them are easily within the scope of fraud, dead, duplicate votes.

Do you have a listing of how many outstanding votes are yet
to be counted in the NC Gov. race?

*****************

None based upon info I see on that following web page.

I was trying to show the ‘Results by Voting Method’ and I can’t get the link to work.
So click that button ‘Results by Voting Method’ in the middle and it’ll take you to the
results page which shows all votes counted.

Roy Cooper was AG here in NC and would not take anything to court to.appeal. He is disgusting.

Well, the bill is actually a washing machine bill that has a lot of other things in it. It is unfortunate that it has been dubbed “the bathroom bill” because that is the least of it. It also involves issues of discrimination against LGBT people in government employment, legal remedies, etc. Even Trump said that the bill was a solution in search of a problem, and well enough should have been left alone. Whether or not McCrory should lose his job over it is another matter.

My suspicions are that they stole the Governor’s race in Durham County. I don’t know about the votes for Governor, but I saw Hillary had more votes in 2016 there than Obama did in 2012. How???

A lot of under 40 were not happy with the negative attention it brought to the state and also weren’t happy that Charlotte’s local rules were overturned by the state, even if they thought Charlotte’s ruling was dumb. I know a handful of people that voted R for national but Cooper for gov.

Thanks. It would be well worth fighting this tooth and nail, including funding the legal defense.

Otherwise a crooked ‘rat gov could forever alter the way votes get counted in that state.

Plus, some liberal ‘rat nut job, or Soros might try to kill both republican US senators from NC, knowing they would get replaced by ‘rats, and flip the US senate!

You are absolutely correct! I was watching the vote totals online and McCrory was holding a small, but significant lead until those late votes from Durham County came in. I have never voted in any other state except NC and I can assure you that the polls are NOT generally kept open after 7:30 pm. Those that are in line at 7:30 are allowed to vote, but that's it.

McCrory has done an EXCELLENT job as governor in managing the fiscal crisis the state was in following many years of governorship by a corrupt Mike Easley and an incompetent Beverly Purdue. He also did a wonderful job in his response to the flooding that resulted from Hurricane Matthew. He has been harassed by the NAACP his entire term as governor. Toilets were even placed in front of the governor's mansion! He did not deserve that and does not deserve to have his re-election stolen from him!

Durham and Duke well-known for liberal cheating. Remember the Duke lacrosse team accused of raping a whore, and the unethical prosecutor removed in disgrace.

Yes, Durham - the murder capital of NC - is run by liberals who ignore the crime....so it fluorishes. So it is no surprise that this is where the Dems cheated to try to defeat McCrory.

Exactly. I would have figured that those voters who are so desperate to allow men into the women’s bathrooms were all solidly in Hillary’s camp.

Deeply disappointed McCrory couldn’t handily defeat Cooper. It’s important to note that NC is a changing state. Historically it was heavily R and conservative. It is now changing due to the influx of liberal northerners and heavy immigrants. My family and I moved from VA to NC in 1999. VA also used to be heavily R and is changing due to the rapid growth of the same people now filling NC. Both states are filling up with transplants from NY, CA, MA, CT, etc., etc. In addition, lots of hispanics and Asians are coming in, which are heavily D. VA is lost and NC is headed that way.
