Need help in repairing my broken laptop power cord. I have tried many techniques to figure out how to open up the adapter box. The plastic is too weak to crack open w/ just a screwdriver. It just scratched with pressure, while the seam remained firmly bonded. Any advice on how to open the adopter box without throwing the adapter to Obama's face? BTW, I have an HP laptop. A new one at Best Buy costs $139.00.

I have a brick fireplace with a manufactured fireplace box complete with functioning flue. I also have gas logs, etc. The literature on the logs says they are "ventless." However, the fireplace box isn't designed for ventless logs. According to a fireman who examined it, he said closing the flue during operation would generate more heat than the box can handle. PLEASE HELP: I recently suffered a BSOD event on my other computer, which happens to be the one my children use for schoolwork, reports and the like - I had to re-install Windows XP, which solved the problem, but now nothing wants to work (internet, screen laggy and can't access old files). Anyone a Dish TV network customer? If so, can you tell me how many days does the basic Dish Network receiver guide display?
