It’s not a popularity contest.

Popularity contests are for high school

This is to select the leader of the Free World, Western Civilization, a man who will put terrorists like the pres__ent resident on notice and leave no wiggle room.

What if Trump wins Michigan and Alaska, those two states should be more than enough to carry him well beyond what Clinton had? Unfortunately the media will avoid offering those results at all costs. Simply, we won’t hear it.

If you remove all of the fraud and cheating (stuffed ballot boxes, fixed voteing machines) that the Dems. used, Trump by a mile.

This is a red herring thrown out every election by the left. The American system as designed to stop high population states from swamping the more rural states with their fascism. Just because NY and Ca are loaded with libs doesn’t mean they get to decide for Wy what they do with their guns. Every cycle, the same ole bunch starts whining about how we are a democracy and this isn’t fair. We are NOT a democracy and this is why democracy isn’t good. We are a republic, or better yet, a democratic republic. We elect people to represent us and make laws that everyone must follow. Democracy is basically mob rule. If we lived in a democracy, we could vote 50% +1 and get slavery back, or get all the guns picked up. We have a Constitution with a Bill of Rights that is enforced for all unless you get an Amendment passed to change it. With a democracy, you get the mob to vote your way and it’s done.
The Constitution is plain about the electoral college and it’s not some antiquated thing with no purpose today. It’s working and has always worked to pick the president the STATES want.

The media, at both the local and national levels were a huge obstacle for Trump as they were non-stop promoters of hilLIARy and bashers/deceivers about Trump.

There was a ton of Americans that were misinformed by this corrupt media. Many will eventually find out the negative Trump narrative was a big lie coming from the media. Hopefully this truth will lead to the demise of the corrupt media as we know it.

We also have to do our part in exposing the media to the misinformed. If it weren’t for the corrupt media misinforming so many, this presidential race would have been a landslide for Trump.

That also tells you how many California residents aren’t even U.S. citizens. It’s estimated that 25% of the illegal immigrants in the U.S. live in California alone.

I recall all the hours up until 11 pm last night, Trump lead in the popular vote. So it must’ve been Calif that tipped it in Hillary’s favor.

I would love to “meddle” in the electoral vote process and change it so that every state uses the Maine/Nebraska process and allocates electoral votes by Congressional district.

The founders likely never thought we’d get to the fraud level of today, but limiting the impact of the voter to the block counting of the college prevents a runaway corrupt state from ‘stealing’ the countries total.

Who Won The Popular Vote?

The over populated states such as California that are run by democrats and whose populations are totally dependent on the government.

That's why the Electoral College was created......

Popular vote bunk....it’s all California/pacific coast more precisely. One good earthquake would lop off 2-3 million liberal votes.

It is f’n INCREDIBLE that Trump won the narrowest of victories in several key swing states....just enough to take the states EV bounty. Divine intervention

If Trump had campaigned in NY and CA, the most populous States, he would probably won the popular votee.

But why would he? He’s never going to win there. Which is why the electoral college is such as great thing.

” don’t care who won the popular vote.....it is meaningless.”

Democrats - as they did after the Gore defeat—now are rumored to be pushing for abolishing the Electoral College.

This seems to come up only when they lose a presidential election.

New York and Californicate had a lot of voters...here is where she got a lead in the popular vote.

Yep. Hillary was +2.5 million in one state, California, because of her 65% to 33% margin. On the other hand, Trump was up across the rest other 49 states and DC about 2.3 million.

The electoral college kept the big state from being a bully.
