Hillary Clinton continued to gain ground against Donald Trump, with her lead in a four-way matchup climbing to 4 points — 45% to 41% — according to the latest IBD/TIPP presidential tracking poll. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson gets 7% of the vote and Jill Stein 2%.
In a two-way matchup, Clinton tops Trump by 46% to 41%.
Both are the best showings for Clinton in the IBD/TIPP poll, and both are close to the Real Clear Politics average, which has Clinton up 4.4 points in a four-way race and 5.2 points in a two-way race.

I think if Obama and Hillary publicly gave all our nukes to ISIS and they demolished half our cities, the media polls would still reflect a 4 point rise in Hillary’s numbers.

This poll will come around sharply as people assess their choice between a felon or non-felon.
She might want to start getting some practice cuz I have a sense she will be doing a lot of that where she is going.
Of course, she may like it. I can see a Hustler cartoon of her so engaged and remarking, “Hell, if I knew prison was like this I woulda come here DECADES ago!”
I’ve heard the “most accurate” comment regarding this poll and have to laugh. Yes, they hit it in 2012, but was it luck? I followed this poll in 2008 and I think even 2004 and I wasn’t impressed. I believe it missed both. They seem to be sticking with 2012 turnout models that served them well back then, but that certainly will not be the case this election.
The more criminal her behavior the higher her poll numbers go. America is upside down.
They'll be "adjusting" it to fit the new RCP average soon enough.
If this SHOULD prove to be true, let’s file it for future recommendation for a tool to use when we find it is needed.
IDB are good and as a result it doesn’t swing wildly as others do. See for example the ABC News tracker which went from +12 Clinton to +2 Clinton today.
I believe IDB will come back in Trumps favor in a few days, especially after yesterday’s bombshell.
It’s still a toss up. Go out an vote!
I believe the reopened FBI investigation will significantly change things.

this 'poll' is utter horseshit
It is just an anomaly or someone is turning the screws.
Trump has all the momentum and he is winning with independents and people are severely underestimating how many blacks will come out an vote for him.
If there enough stupid people in this country to put a lying traitor in office over somebody who obviously loves this nation with a passion and could truly Make America Great Again what choice do we have other then a damn civil war.
Well in the big picture; the election was over yesterday.
But even before yesterday; Trump was gaining.
Even if the polls were honestly done; they would definitely under sample Trump support.
There are many people going to vote for Trump who aren’t talking much about it.
I doubt this result reflects any polling that was done after Comey’s bombshell. Let’s see where it is next Wednesday.

Seriously, is there any doubt that their poll was such an anomaly a week ago, that they manipulated their numbers to better align with the other polls?
This is a good poll. But it, like many others, is on the small side. Especially when you look at day to day changes.
I’m o.k. with Trump being down in the polls by a few points. There are questions about polling bias (moreso with the MSM polls and certain university polls than this one). About the assumptions that are built-into the polls (the demographics of those who actually vote). And, about the distribution of the national vote across the states.
The bottom line is that we can win if we’re down by a small number of points in the fair polls.
