A video excerpt from liberal Michael Moore is taking the internet by storm. But it’s not Moore’s loyal fans singing his praises for a passionate political confession – it’s Donald Trump’s supporters who are doing the cheering.
In the speech that was given before an audience in Ohio, reportedly for the film “Trumpland,” Moore delves deep into the mindset of Trump’s appeal.
But first, he shockingly starts out by defending Trump supporters.
“They’re not racists or rednecks, they’re actually pretty decent people. So, after talking to a number of them, I sort of wanted to sort of write this.”
Moore went on to read a piece where he shares what he believes is the momentum behind the Trump movement. He recounts Trump’s visit to Detroit, where he had talked of the city’s dismal economy and it apparently left a deep impression on Moore.
Donald Trump came to the Detroit Economic Club and stood there in front of the Ford Motor executives and said: if you close these factories, as you are planning to do in Detroit, and rebuild them in Mexico, I am going to put a 35% tariff on those cars when you send them back and nobody’s going to buy them.
It was an amazing thing to see.
No politician — Republican or Democrat — had ever said anything like that to these executives. It was music to the ears of people in Michigan and Ohio and Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The Brexit states. You live here in Ohio. You know what I am talking about.
Moore went on to talk of the forgotten man, who works hard — if he or she is lucky enough to have a job — and continually gets screwed by the very representatives who are supposed to have their backs.

In some such situations, it may prove useful. Moore would serve like a catalyst here, crystallizing the reason WHY. Telling the establishment to perform some rude act upon itself, symbolically speaking.

We continued a practice that was centuries old and abandoned it because of its obvious conflict with our stated foundations. We are also not the last country to practice slavery as it continues to this day. I would say that is a net positive.

So the out of context Moore clip is used as a weapon; Where will it be used? Who will use it? What real effect will it have with Hillary voters? How will that effect measured?

Mikey has put his finger on the reason for the Trump momentum. Of COURSE Mikey also is dedicated to trying to show that it’s wrong... but nothing in the clip in question conveys that.
Say it rudely, say it politely, but by ALL MEANS say it.

This clip has been on my Facebook page for the past 16 hours. Folks on FB are not going to watch the whole movie. 2 lines of text, and short clips, that’s all they ever look at. The rest of the movie sucks, but who cares. Few will ever watch it.

But just watch what Mikey does when it dawns on him that this has happened. He’ll doubtless put out another missive cussing the Trump folks for doing this. And he would not cuss the Trump folks unless he knew what they were doing.

I despise lies of omission and that is what using the out of context clip is. That is why I could not support Cruz, he told so many lies exactly like using this clip as if it’s the whole truth. Everyone here knows it isn’t the whole truth. That is stupid in my opinion. There are much better and more honest ways to wage the war. If we have to resort to telling lies of omission, the war is lost.

It’s already out there and generating news while you are wringing your hands waiting for a peer-reviewed study on the exact number of voters that will be swayed to the 3rd decimal place.
Telling a lie of omission about Moore with an out of context video clip is the slip.
Moore is an enemy but he didn’t slip saying what he said in the out of context clip. Proof it wasn’t a slip lies in what he said after the clip cut off. He knows exactly what he is doing. What Moore did is why elitists keep winning elections. It would be far more effective to show what Moore is doing in context - tell people how Moore and elitists of his ilk are psychologically brainwashing people to act exactly as they wants them to act. That would be FAR more worthwhile then playing petty and incoherent games with an out of context clip.
