Aleppo, Syria, has lately been the focus of much world attention, with some people even hearing in it the first rumblings of WW3. It is not really possible to sort out the wheat from the chaff in the torrents of information and opinions pouring daily through every conceivable communication channel, without asking the locals for their insights.
Dr. Nabil Antaki is one of the brave hearts that chose to remain in Aleppo despite the tragic loss of his brother, killed by 'rebels', to care for the war-wounded, mostly without charging a fee. He is also a member of a small, homegrown Christian charity - Aleppos Blue Marists- which provides housing, food, educational and recreational activities to Syrians of all denominations who are displaced within their own country. He was therefore uniquely placed to walk me through the maze and shed light on what is really going on in Aleppo.
1- Nabil, first of all, Id like to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to speak to me about the situation in Syria. I am going to start right off the bat with the burning topic of the day. There is much talk these days among world leaders about the need to impose a no-fly zone over Aleppo. What do you think of that idea?
I disagree with it. A no-fly zone would mainly benefit armed groups such as Daech [ISIS] and Al-Nosra, and leave the city and its inhabitants exposed to their attacks.

“They knew from the start that the Arab Spring was another name for Condoleezza Rices Constructive Chaos or for the Bush Administrations New Middle East, and that the so-called Spring was a misnomer that would either lead to the destruction of Syria, or to its falling under an Islamic States rule. Unfortunately, these two projects may well be on the way to succeeding.”
I had heard this before; the problem with Iraq is if we had to invade, we probably should have had a larger group presence and besides fighting Jihadis; apparently, our enemy was Iran as well, fighting Gen. Soleimani and the Quds brigades.
Turkey has aligned with Russia on a deal to transport oil and gas under sea. Kurds survival is definitely threatened.
Turkey has been guilty of genocide before (Armenian 7 others). It is clear they will do so now if they think it is in their interest.
And Obama agrees with Erdogan.
There is some irony in your post.
The Kurds were the most willing butchers of Armenians for the Turks.
Now they are being butchered by the same Turks.
I am not sure your assertion is correct.
I’ve read disputed views on it.
There is no question that the Kurds and the Armenians are on good terms now.
Kurds Acknowledge the Armenian Genocide and Their Role In It
During the 1915 genocide, some Kurdish tribes were also exploited and encouraged by the Turkish Ottoman regime to attack the deportation caravans of Armenians,
“3 days ago, a Kurd friend of mine on Twitter (for quite a while) told me that Turkey is openly attacking Kurds in Syria. Turkey intends permanent occupation of part of Turkey. They have warned they will act to prevent anyone taking control of land East of the Euphrates river.”
That Turkey is attacking the Kurds in Iraq has been well reported.
Here is the Assyrian (Christian) News site: http://aina.org/
Note, they do report on the attack on the Kurds:

>Turkey intends permanent occupation of part of Turkey<
.
Doesn’t part of Turkey belong to Turkey?
“Turkey intends permanent occupation of part of Turkey”
I noted that too; they surely meant Syria or Iraq, where Kurdistan is, in both countries actually along with Turkey.
Now, it’s Iraq where Turkey has a presence of troops frowned upon by the Iraqi Government but Turkey may well be carrying out airstrikes in Syria.
I meant Syria.
Turkey intends permanent occupation of part of “Syria”.
Turkey intends to occupy permanently part of both Syria & Iraq. (my opinion and others I know)
Turkey threatened all who attempt to capture East of the Euphrates River in Syria.
The Town of Aleppo is said (by some Muslims and others) to be a part of the takeoff point for Armageddon.
Erdogan is an Arrogant Islamist loving Despot.
“Aleppo Is The Gate For Armageddon And The March On Jerusalem. Why A Donald Trump Victory Is A Victory For Jerusalem And His Defeat Will Usher In Armageddon”
I don’t always agree with Walid Shoebat, but have been reading his stuff a long time. A blogger friend of mine in Cairo worked with him during the overthrow of Morsi. Shoebat was Muslim, he knows the ins and outs of that world. He is a Christian, and a bit impatient. On a tuff turf.
From the Shoebat article:
“The Cushite Eunuch, Obama”
Moses has been said to have married a (black) Cushite woman from Ethiopian. Many Jews in his day criticized him for that. She was said to have been a Queen there.
Eunuch’s were ball-less. Fitting?
That sufficiently explains Shoebat’s description of Obama. As if we need any explanation.
Yes, exactly.
Again sorry for the typo with Turkey where Syria should have been.
But, 4 days ago, I was told it was happening in Syria. At that time it was not in the news at all. Probably was pertaining to Iraq.
Indeed. Hillary talks of helling Kurds and fighting Russia because it bombs Allepo but Kurds in Allepo get bombed by Turkey and you get crickets.
This humanitarian Allepo thing is again this “toddler gun control” BS of hers. She says whatever is convenient for the moment without any coherence. She is the typical bimbo for whom there is no logic in a soccer game, just moving goal posts and changing teams without any rule, like a chick dealing with men in a night club . God help us
*helping Kurds
but Hillary helling is a good term
Yes, the Middle East disaster was caused by the Bitch and the Bastard. And ISIS is their Frankenstein Disaster.
Agreed.
God Help US indeed.
