3 days ago, a Kurd friend of mine on Twitter (for quite a while) told me that Turkey is openly attacking Kurds in Syria. Turkey intends permanent occupation of part of Turkey. They have warned they will act to prevent anyone taking control of land East of the Euphrates river.

Turkey has aligned with Russia on a deal to transport oil and gas under sea. Kurds survival is definitely threatened.

Turkey has been guilty of genocide before (Armenian 7 others). It is clear they will do so now if they think it is in their interest.

And Obama agrees with Erdogan.
